En defensa de la casa común… Oaxaca denuncia

The Digger Concept of ‘Free’ by Peter Coyote + Diggers fed the masses + The Diggers Songs

1960s: Days of Rage by-peter-coyote/ shared with thanks February 16, 2022

“The original Digger movement began in England in April of 1649. Oliver ‘Ironsides’ Cromwell, executioner of King Charles I, was now the protector of the empire.

Cromwell had participated in the great insurgency that established constitutional monarchy in Britain.

For many of his followers, however, this was not enough.

Gerrard Winstanley, a London cloth merchant and dissenting Christian, published a pamphlet, ‘Truth Lifting up Its Head Above the Scandals’, which established what became the basic principles of anarchy: that power corrupts; private property and freedom are mutually exclusive; and only in a society without rulers can people be free to act according to their consciences.

His pamphlet The Law of Freedom in a Platform was dedicated to Cromwell. …

The Digger Free Store

The San Francisco Diggers originated in the conjunction of the visionary acuity of Billy Murcott, a reclusive childhood friend of Emmett Grogran’s, and Emmett’s own genius as an actor and his flair for public theater.

Billy had intuited that people had internalized cultural premises about the sanctity of private property and capital so completely as to have become addicted to wealth and status; the enchantment ran so deep and the identity with job was so absolute as to have eradicated inner wildness and personal expression not condoned by society. …

From the Digger perspective, ideological analysis was often one more means of delaying the action necessary to manifest an alternative.

Furthermore, ideological perspectives always devalue individuals and serve as the justification to sacrifice them when the ideology is threatened.

As a case in point, consider Robert McNamara, sacrificing a generation of youth in Vietnam after concluding that the war was pointless, because he did not want to tarnish the dignity of the nation’s leaders by criticizing them.

We used to joke among ourselves that the Diggers would be ‘put up against the wall’ not by the FBI or other forces of domestic oppression but by our peers on the Left who would readily sacrifice anyone who created impediments to their power and authority. …”

One day in October 1966, freaks on Haight Street found themselves clutching mimeographed flyers that some unknown passerby had pressed into their hands. It read: “Free food. Good hot stew. Ripe tomatoes. Fresh fruit. Bring a bowl and spoon to the Panhandle at Ashbury Street. 4PM 4PM 4PM 4PM. Free food everyday free food. It’s free because it’s yours.”

Sabotage State Repression! Major Canadian banks experience “online outage” –

Five large Canadian banks reportedly went offline on Wednesday, with users complaining of access to online and mobile banking, e-transfers, and debit purchases being inaccessible.

Despite reports, neither TD, CIBC, Scotiabank, or BMO acknowledged any significant outages, and many customers confirmed they were indeed able to access services without issue while others were shut out.

Nuclear Weapons: Just One stray Missile Could Blast Us To Pre-Industrial Times!

introduction nuclear weapons Physics

Red Cross estimates that over a billion people in developing countries would face starvation, and because much of the modern world relies on global food supply chains, famines would rock the developed world as well.4

The mushroom cloud of the first hydrogen bomb
The mushroom cloud of the first hydrogen bomb1

We’ve seen the clips. A clear blue sky suddenly filled with a mushroom cloud of smoke and the resounding boom of the explosion. But if you’ve noticed, most of these clips are very old, often dating back many decades. Modern nuclear weapons have achieved staggering heights of destructive power.

A single malfunction in the central technology controlling nuclear missile launch could launch a US nuclear attack at Shanghai, killing upwards of 30 million people – millions more than the 20 million total deaths (military and civilian) in World War 1.2

But what is it that makes nukes so devastating? How is it that a warhead just a few feet long and a few inches in diameter is capable of such mass destruction? Today, we’re going to be talking about the physics and evolution of nuclear weapons, as well as what would happen if a nuclear weapon was launched.

How do Nukes Work?

The nucleus of an atom is bound with an immense amount of energy. There are two ways that we can harness this energy: nuclear fission and nuclear fusion.

Nuclear Fission

Free neutron colliding with the nucleus of Uranium-235, causing it to split into Krypton-92 and Barium-141 and release 3 neutrons and energy.3
Free neutron colliding with the nucleus of Uranium-235, causing it to split into Krypton-92 and Barium-141 and release 3 neutrons and energy.3

Generally, the nucleus of an atom is stable. However, the large nuclei in certain isotopes of heavy metals like uranium and plutonium make such atoms unstable. In Uranium-235 and Plutonium-239, it is possible to shoot a neutron at the nucleus and split the atom into two smaller atoms while expelling more neutrons and a tremendous amount of energy from the nucleus.

The neutrons and energy can then proceed to initiate more fission reactions, creating a nearly instantaneous release of exponentially growing energy.4, 5

It’s critical that the world continue the non-proliferation policies of nuclear weapons. We must not let a technological glitch be capable of destroying the modern world.

Nuclear Fusion

Deuterium atom and tritium atom fuse under high temperatures, forming a helium isotope and releasing energy and a neutron.6

Nuclear fusion is the opposite of nuclear fission. Whereas fission took a single atom and broke it into two, fusion takes two very small atoms, usually hydrogen isotopes (like deuterium and tritium), at very high temperatures and fuses them into a single, larger atom (usually a helium isotope). Similar to nuclear fission, this releases a colossal amount of energy to fuel subsequent reactions. Nuclear fusion ultimately powers the earth, as the sun performs exactly this process, fusing hydrogens to create helium and releasing the energy as light and heat which then powers the earth (and us!).4, 5

The Evolution of Nuclear Weapons

As mentioned before, most clips of nuclear explosions demonstrate the earliest iterations of nuclear weapons. Over time, more sophisticated technology and engineering have created even more destructive weapons.

The Atomic Bomb

The atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, respectively.7
The atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, respectively.7

The first nuclear weapons developed used solely nuclear fission and were called atomic bombs. These were the infamous bombs used on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.4 While these are among the weakest nuclear weapons to date, do not underestimate their power.

The bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki had destructive power equivalent to 15,000 and 21,000 tons of TNT, respectively.4 For reference, a single kilogram of TNT will destroy a small car!8 Even more ridiculous is the fact that the collective 36,000 tons of TNT worth of destruction was carried out using a total of a mere two kilograms of radioactive fuel!4

A nuclear apocalypse would result in billions of deaths and immeasurable suffering, and the recovery period would likely take centuries10.

Ottawa Freedom Convoy Tears Down Illusion of Democracy in North America

By Matthew Ehret | Strategic Culture Foundation | February 16, 2022

“No, there is a limit to the tyrant’s power!
When the oppressed man finds no justice,
When the burden grows unbearable, he appeals
With fearless heart to Heaven,
And thence brings down his everlasting rights,
Which there abide, inalienably his,
And indestructible as stars themselves”.

-Friedrich Schiller, Wilhelm Tell’s Rutli Oath

Canada’s Ontario province declared a state of emergency on Friday, amid the ongoing trucker protests against COVID

Who would have thought that Canada would ever be a spark plug for a freedom movement against tyranny?

As the editor of a Canadian geopolitical magazine for over 10 years and author of four books on Canadian History, I am a bit embarrassed to say that I certainly didn’t think that Canadians had this in them.

The “monarchy of the north” certainly isn’t something that exudes revolutionary sentiment- having been founded on such non-revolutionary principles as “Peace, Order and Good Governance” which have stood in stark contrast to the significantly more inspiring “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness” enshrined in the founding documents of our southern cousins.

Even our founding 1867 document (drafted over a champagne fueled month of hedonism in 1864) explicitly calls out the purpose of confederation not as a means of “supporting the general welfare” as was the case of the USA’s constitution in 1787, but rather “to promote the interests of the British

Empire”.

But here it is.

Countless thousands of patriots have driven across the country to bunker down in Ottawa in peace and high festive spirits which I had to see with my own eyes to believe demanding something so simple and un-tainted by ideology: freedom to work, provide for families and a respect for basic rights as laid out in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms (a 1982 upgrade to the embarrassingly oligarchical British North America Act of 1867).

Mainstream media and political hacks have been working overtime to paint the Freedom convoy that converged on Ottawa on January 29 as an “insurrectionist movement” full of “white supremacists”, “Russian stooges”, and “Nazis” out to “overthrow the government”.

Even the Bank of England’s former governor (and World Economic Forum Trustee) Mark Carney chimed in on February 7 stating that “this is sedition” and that “those who are still helping to extend this occupation must be identified and punished to the full force of the law”.

Carney, the perennial financial darling of Goldman Sachs and the City of London (and Prime Ministerial hopeful) called for a targeting of all those who donated money to this domestic terror operation.

Faced with an organic civil rights movement of blue-collar truckers, farmers and tens of thousands of supporters who have convened on Canada’s capital to demand a restoration of their basic freedoms, the current Liberal government has failed to show even an ounce of humanity or capacity to negotiate.
