U.S. Is Complicit in Child Slaughter in Yemen, by Kathy Kelly
Since the beginning of the U.S. supported Saudi-led war on Yemen in 2015, 10,000 children have been killed or maimed.
Yemen has suffered one of the world’s worst food disasters with nearly 2.3 million children under the age of 5 suffering from acute malnourishment.
The U.S. aids and abets this war by supplying Saudis with weapons and military intelligence. Despite Biden’s promises on the campaign trail to end U.S, involvement, he has not followed through and instead the U.S. continues to fuel the Saudis War on Yemen.
Join us on the video to understand this conflict and ways to end U.S. involvement with two knowledgeable and committed activists.
Speakers:
Dr. Aisha Jumaan is an epidemiologist and founder of the Yemen Renewal and Reconstruction Society.
Kathy Kelly is a good friend to WAMM, peace activist, pacifist, author and one of the founding members of Voices in the Wilderness. Her activism has focused on Yemen as well as many other countries where the US has waged war.
This event was organized by the Middle East Committee of WAMM.
