Belarus outlaws’ unions:

An entire trade union movement in a European country is now facing extinction as courts declare unions to be “extremist” or “Western agents” — simply for doing what unions do.  

That is the situation today in Belarus.  A national trade union centre and major unions have been made illegal.  Union leaders are in jail facing long prison terms.  

The regime has unleashed defamation campaigns targeting unions and their allies. Pressure on the regime in Belarus is intensifying.

We join them in demanding the immediate release of all the jailed activists and the restoration of independent, democratic trade unions in the country.

Marlboro workers continue protests at union busting factory in Turkey:

Workers at the Philip Morris factory in Izmir, Turkey, are paid less than the poverty threshold — despite the company earning massive profits.

The workers’ incomes are dwindling as a result of the country’s economic turmoil. Furthermore, there is discrimination between permanent and subcontracted workers, though they perform the same tasks and use the same machines. 

Recently, almost all the workers joined the union — but the company then sacked 124 of them in a brazen attempt at union-busting.  While the workers conduct daily protests in front of the factory, the company refuses to negotiate.

The citizens of Madrid rebel massively against the privatized policies of the regional government and corrupt destruction of the Health system by far right profiteers. The public response has been massive.

Attendance at the demonstration by Public Health this Sunday, November 13, has exceeded the forecasts of the calling groups and has overflowed the streets of Madrid, the result of a health rebellion against the privatization measures of the government of Isabel Díaz Ayuso.

The Government Delegation has encrypted attendance at more than 200,000 people, while the organization raises the figure to 670,000 people.

At the same time, concern among citizens escalated to overwhelm the initial forecasts for this Sunday’s demonstration.

“Up to 280,000 tonnes of Russian mineral fertilizers have been under arrest in a number of European countries over recent months,” Russian Minister Sergey Vershinin said adding that Russia supported gratuitous exports of these arrested fertilizers to countries in need, especially in Africa.

The deputy minister added that Moscow was not satisfied with the implementation of the Black Sea grain deal, as Russian food products and fertilizers should have a “real access” to international markets.

Russia, Ukraine and Turkey signed on July 22 the United Nations-brokered agreement to secure a humanitarian corridor via the Black Sea for grain and fertilizer exports. The parties agreed for the agreement to last 120 days and expire on November 19.

On October 29, Russia suspended its participation in the agreement after its military and civilian ships were attacked by Ukraine in the bay of Sevastopol.

The countries importing fertilizers have no replacement for supplies from Russia…

On November 2, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Moscow was returning to the agreement after receiving written guarantees from Ukraine that Kiev will refrain from using the humanitarian corridor for military purposes.

Kiev has denied providing any additional guarantees.

Russia offers grain for free to poor countries

Russia has also repeatedly offered to donate free tens of millioms of tons of grains to suffering countries after a record harvest.

The US has so far refused to grant a sanctions waiver for Russia so companies can provide transport to give away the food wihout being sanctioned. Presumably to do so might depress prices and decrease sky high profits on grain arriving from the Ukraine agreement.

Russia made the hard choice, Kherson city is on the majority Ukrainian right bank, (left side on maps) most of the 115,000 voluntarily evacuated citizens are ethnic Russians, who faced a bloody siege from the fascist dominated Ukrainian troops and reprisals for voting to join Russia .

Putin’s clever Gambit Winds down the War.

In a surprise move Russia just pulled out. Evacuating their entire army, and the last civilians who wished to come, across the river under heavy fire in a single night without casualties

A shocking surrender? Yet it was in line with their pragmatic policy of avoiding mass deaths.

All units of the Russian troops in the Kherson region crossed at night to the left bank of the Dnieper River despite Ukraine’s attempts to disrupt the withdrawal, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

Every media outlet in Ukraine and the West began gloating and mocking over a “Massive Russian Defeat”.

Russia maintains control of most of the large Kherson oblast which is on the left bank eastern side of the Dnieper river.

Ukraine couldn’t believe it, declaring Russia must be setting a trap. The USA declared Russia was lying.

Russia announced, amazingly, that they had evacuated voluntarily over 115,000 people, and now all their 30,ooo troops, under intense attacks from Ukrainian and US precision artillery, with zero casualties in the final phase.

Some advantages f0r Russia could be:

• No need to defend an indefensible city against an enemy equipped with fast improving US and EU supplied weaponry and logistics.
• Saving over 100,000 ethnic Russians from a Stalingrad type siege.
• No more danger of a massive tsunami from Ukrainian shelling of the Kakhovskaya Dam.
• Gaining a solid defensive shield in the River Dnieper
• Freeing large intact and skilled military resources to finally take back all Donbass

Some disadvantages could be:

• Loss of face, prestige and macho credibility.
• Loss of the gateway to the huge ethnic Russian area of Odessa.
• Encouraging Ukrainian hopes of winning the war.

On November 11, the Russian Ministry of Defence declared that the withdrawal was completed at 5 a.m. Moscow time.
