- At least 16 people were killed in an overnight attack on Rafah; several casualties were also repeated in a Khan Younis bombing.
- Islamic Relief has condemned the “abject failure” on the part of the international community to agree to a ceasefire and stop the killings in Gaza, after the death toll from Israeli attacks surpassed 10,000 on Monday.
- The UN chief says Gaza is “becoming a graveyard for children” as he renews demands to reach an elusive ceasefire.

- PM Netanyahu says Israel is open to “little pauses” but also suggests it will have responsibility for Gaza’s security for an “indefinite period” after the war.
- Deadly Israeli raids continue across the occupied West Bank with many people also detained.

The scale of destruction in Gaza
The Government Media Office has just released a statement on the situation in Gaza. Here are some key takeaways:
- On average, hospitals receive one wounded person every minute and 15 bodies every hour.
- Gaza ‘left alone’ as hospitals run out of fuel, 16 out of 35 hospitals are out of service.
- Six children and five women are killed every hour on average.

- Almost 70 percent of Gaza’s population has been forcibly displaced from their homes due to Israeli bombing and raids.
- About 30,000 tonnes of explosives used by Israel in the bombing – an average of 82 tonnes per square kilometre.
- Half of the hospitals and 62 percent of primary care health centres are effectively out of service.
- 50 percent of housing units have been damaged by bombing and raids; 10 percent have become uninhabitable.
- One-third of schools are damaged and about 9 percent are out of service.
- 14 percent of the mosques in the Gaza Strip have been damaged and 5 percent completely destroyed.

Gaza official: Israel orders evacuation of al-Rantisi Children’s Hospital…A Gaza health ministry spokesman tells Al Jazeera the Israeli army told the administration of al-Rantisi Children’s Hospital to evacuate because it intends to bomb the facility. Tuesday 7th Nov 2023
The Nasser Medical Complex, which has four hospitals, suffered indirect and direct hits by Israeli missiles.
According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, at least eight Palestinians were killed in the attacks and dozens wounded.
The complex also has al-Nasser Children’s Hospital, al-Rantisi Specialised Hospital, the Eye Hospital and the Psychiatric Hospital.
At least 16 of the 35 hospitals in Gaza are out of service and 51 of 72 primary healthcare clinics in the besieged enclave have shut down completely.
