Armed attackers stormed the headquarters of pro-Kurdish Halkların Demokratik Partisi (HDP, People’s Democratic Party) this morning in the central district of Konak in Izmir, Turkey, and killed party member #DenizPoyraz…
The victim was working at the headquarters and was shot dead. The HDP has issued a statement stating that “the instigator of this brutal attack is the AKP (Islamist) – MHP (Turkish neo-fascist) government and the interior ministry which is constantly harassing our party and our militants.

In less than two months the two infant Caracaras progressed from bits of fluff about the size of table tennis balls to fully fledged birds weighing about a kilogram.
Their rate of growth was so rapid that their appearance seemed to change visibly from one day to the next.
Today, I’m posting a series of six images that I made of the youngsters — a sample of dozens of portraits that I made of them — covering a timeline of just over a month. Not to repeat a cliché, but in this case the images say more about the young Caracaras’ development than my commentary possibly could.

In Berlin, the intention of law enforcement officers to inspect a house converted by left-wing activists into “popular territory” sparked clashes.
Many years ago, left-wing activists turned the house at 94 Rizhskaya Street into ‘their own territory’.
