France: Even data centers burn…

A news story that barely leaked out in the middle of the unbearable daily heaviness caused by alarmisms and dispositions decreed by the authorities.

On Wednesday 10 March, at 12.47 am, a fire broke out in Strasbourg inside one of the four huge data centers of OVH, a French multinational web hosting (ie telematic services).
Despite the immediate alarm and despite the fact that over a hundred firefighters intervened on the spot – using vehicles that even arrived from neighboring Germany – a few hours later there was nothing left of the SBG2 data center. From silicon to ash. Before being put out, the flames also hit the SBG1 building severely, devastating more than half of it.
