As the Maya calendar ends, a new cycle of struggle begins with thousands of Zapatistas peacefully and silently occupying town squares across Chiapas.

The Zapatistas are back! Flowing like the water of the river that beats the sword. And while some were anticipating the Christmas holidays, some others the end of the Maya calendar, and others still the new Communiqué from the Comandancia General of the EZLN that was announced back in November, the main cities of Chiapas woke up today with memories of 1994. CNT anarchists join lawsuit against Fascist genocide

The CNT union has filed Tuesday in Argentina a complaint against the crimes of Francoism, in a process that is handled in this country against the genocide committed by the regime between 1936 and 1977. Thus, the central anarcosindicalista adds to actions before the courts of Buenos Aires by relatives of victims, associations recovery of historical memory and others.

As the CNT pointed out, “the international law on human rights defined as crimes against humanity, and therefore inalienable, a number of crimes, murder, torture, forced disappearance or slavery, among others-that Francoism fulfilled completely “. In this sense, it argues that “the so-called ‘Amnesty Law of 1977, passed with the votes for the PSOE, PCE and PNV parties, was actually ‘final ending’ law which guaranteed impunity for the instigators and executors of serious violations of human rights “. Occupy Spain (25s y 15m) make anti Capitalist Constitution

The 25S Coordination group proposed in the assembly in the Plaza de Neptuno Oct. 23 organize a “Constituent Days” in principle for days 6, 7, 8 and 9 December, to start making a new anticapitalist constitution.

The aim is to achieve a minimum agreement to drive a real constituent process in which the people have the decisive voice. Sao José evicted Occupy land, Build new village

150 recently evicted families have occupied land owned by the mayor of Sao José (Florianopolis), Djalma Berger, who is accused of rampant corruption. The new neighbourhood has survived all attacks so far due to strong community help.

A new neighbourhood called ‘Ocupaçäo Contestado’ has been born in San Jose! Plank by plank, canvas by canvas, recently evicted community residents in José Nitro are building their homes and their history in a space that bears the name of ‘Ocupaçäo Contestado’. The 14th of November general strike in Barcelona started in the very first hours of the night, with pickets closing bars and spaces still open at night in several city’s neighborhoods, such as Gràcia, where more than 300 people managed to shut down bars, while a supermarket and banks were attacked by hoodies. Earlier, trade unions pickets had blocked the accesses to industrial parks of the metropolitan area, where no activity was reported at all. No one was arrested during the night. As the sun was rising, fire barricades were erected in all city’s points, with police making the first arrest of the day in the Eixample neighborhood.
