$10 million per minute given by States to Fossil Fuel Criminals

Your Taxes Subsidize Dirty Oil Corporations By $5.3 TRILLION

Source   via  trueactivist.com     A recent paper released by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) should shock all of us who believe in a green future based on renewable energy.

Despite stark warnings from scientists, fossil fuel subsidies continue to grow: this year alone, it is estimated that dirty coal and energy corporations will receive a staggering $5.3 trillion from governments worldwide.

The worst predicted impacts of climate change are starting to happen — and much faster than climate scientists expected..The Sixth Mass Extinction Is Upon Us: Can Humans Survive?

To put this into perspective, the sum is more than the healthcare budget of all the countries in the world combined. It works out at $600 million per hour, $10 million per minute, and $200,000 per second. Just imagine what we could do with that kind of money.

We could eradicate poverty, invest in clean energy, boost health and education systems, start a food revolution, and create more jobs in these industries as a result. Instead of the logical option, our governments choose to spend our tax dollars on propping up the same corporations that are poisoning us and the planet (while making ridiculously huge profits at the same time).– Continue reading “$10 million per minute given by States to Fossil Fuel Criminals”

30,000 Massacred by Tory cuts in Health and Social Care

Elected by a minority the UK Tory party revel in robbing, squeezing and in this case killing the population to benefit the established ruling class. The UK is a toxic blend of institutions, parties, schools, law, work, prisons, property, police, family,  etc. which mould our minds and have always blocked all chance of revolution.. ……but OUR TIME WILL COME

http://www.ox.ac.uk/      Researchers (published by the Royal Society of Medicine) exploring why there has been a substantial increase in mortality in England and Wales in 2015 conclude that failures in the health and social care system linked to disinvestment are likely to be the main cause.

There were 30,000 excess deaths in 2015, representing the largest increase in deaths in the post-war period. The excess deaths, which included a large spike in January that year, were largely in the older population who are most dependent on health and social care.

ALERTA ANTIFASCISTA! FROM THE TERRITORY UNDER DOMAIN OF BRAZILIAN GOVERNMENT! AN URGENT CALL FOR SOLIDARITY!

On May 2, at eight o’clock, local antifa and members of the Palestinian refugee community from São Paulo, called a protest against an anti-migrant demonstration organized by fascists. We arrived on Paulista Avenue, the main thoroughfare in Sao Paulo with a small group of 15-20 people to shut the demonstration down.

We fought with the fascists and the Military Police intervened on the fascist side. Eventually all the antifa were arrested. Everyone was released from the police department, except four migrant comrades.O palestino Hasan Zarif, dono do bar Al Janiah, detido pela PM após confronto com grupo anti-imigraçãoOne of the Palestinians being arrested Continue reading “Sao Paolo Antifas Disrupt Fascist Anti-Migrant March – 4 still arrested, Solidarity Needed”

STOP THEM NOW: Why do So Few of us Protest the High Risk of a Nuclear Holocaust?

by   Lawrence Wittner  36 Comments      In recent weeks, the people of the world have been treated to yet another display of the kind of nuclear insanity that has broken out periodically ever since 1945 and the dawn of the nuclear era.

“The fact that both Trump and Kim are being ‘messed with’ despite their possession of very powerful armed forces, including nuclear weapons, seems to have eluded both men, who continue their deadly game of nuclear threat and bluster.”

On April 11, Donald Trump, irked by North Korea’s continued tests of nuclear weapons and missiles, tweeted that “North Korea is looking for trouble.” If China does not “help,” then “we will solve the problem without them.”

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un responded by announcing that, in the event of a U.S. military attack, his country would not scruple at launching a nuclear strike at U.S. forces. In turn, Trump declared: “We are sending an armada, very powerful. We have submarines, very powerful, far more powerful than the aircraft carrier. We have the best military people on earth.” Continue reading “STOP THEM NOW: Why do So Few of us Protest the High Risk of a Nuclear Holocaust?”

May Day 2017: We Strike Back Against Capitalists

CALLOUT: MAY DAY 2017 – WE ARE POOR BECAUSE THEY ARE RICH… AND IT’S RIGHT TO REVOLT!

BY   May 1st is a day of solidarity with other exploited people across the world and within our communities. This is a call to reclaim and rebuild the history and struggle against oppression with an anti-capitalist gathering, celebration and resistance.Image result for mayday class war

This year we will commemorate those who fought with their lives for an 8 hour workday in Chicago over 100 years ago, and the innocent anarchists who lost their lives at the hand of the law.

On May 1st 2017 we will stand against capitalism, colonialism, borders and the state; we will stand for freedom, community and self-determination as we continue the struggles of workers started so many years ago.

Capitalism continues to steal land, life, culture and language from in the name of profit. The empire it has built on stolen land keeps workers under the boot of the bosses, the unemployed under the boot of the state, as our labour increases their profit margins and we merely survive and dream of the lives we can live in our worn-out bodies come retirement.Image result for mayday general strike migrants

On May 1st, 2017 we will gather as anti-capitalists against the systems of oppression that commodify our basic needs and force us to work for our daily bread. The food from the fields and trees and the houses on the streets have all been packaged into marketable products and fenced off from all who cannot pay the price. Kemal Bolivya, a Bolivian volunteer with the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), on Friday called on all ‘revolutionaries’ to join the Rojava revolution.

“I joined the YPG, to struggle and to build this revolution. I think all the revolutionaries of the world should learn about the Rojava revolution,” he said.

For an Anti-Fascist, Revolutionary Unionism!.. IWW African People’s Caucus

Image result for Twin Cities IWW African People's CaucusBy Twin Cities IWW African People’s Caucus   April 5, 2017       Fascism is a concept that has grown a lot of particular interest since the election of Donald Trump and the failure of neoliberalism. While we don’t consider Trump himself to be a fascist but a right wing populist, we do recognize that he has mobilized a broad coalition of the right, which includes some fascists.

However, reactionary violence is nothing new to black and African people living in the United States. Our communities have seen first-hand the terror campaigns of proto-fascist groups such as the KKK, and other kinds of organized white supremacist violence.Image result for Twin Cities IWW African People's Caucus

Our oppression and exploitation have been central to the establishment of modern capitalism in the Americas. This also means we have been fighting back since we were brought here. Our stake in anti-fascism is not an academic question. Continue reading “For an Anti-Fascist, Revolutionary Unionism!.. IWW African People’s Caucus”
