#globalNOISE: It was first proposed by spanish activists on http://potbanging.blogspot.com.es/2012/06/globalnoise-action.html and is now supported by people & groups from the whole globe, for example from Interoccupy.org, Canada, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Germany, Netherlands, Russia, Slovenia, Sudan, South Korea. Its main goal is to create a feeling of solidarity between all the global movements (ie. #yosoy132 #casseroles #Arabspring #russianrevolution #Sudanrevolts #manifencours). We think this can be achieved by doing the same thing on the same day all over the world – making a lot of noise! Alex Mahan, a participant in both Occupy Stockton and Oakland, was killed in a drive by shooting.

EU directs to ban Gay Hate Crime.. as Ukraine urges Anti-gay Law

this directive has been pushed through by women members who promised to actively promote it into local laws within 3 years..  Meanwhile in Ukraine the new law for up to 5 yrs jail for being gay has passed its first stage.

EU law to protect victims of crime due to sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression

Today the European Parliament agreed on a new Directive on the rights guaranteed to victims of crime in the EU. Notably, it provides specific assistance and protection to people who suffered crime because of their sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.

The Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing minimum standards on the rights, support and protection of victims of crime now says victims should receive appropriate assistance and protection. Demos in Spanish State for Womens’ Reproductive Rights

With all the excitement of the attacks on  Occupy Congress and the monster response demos lets not forget Saturday was also the Global Action Day for free abortion, safe and free..

Some cities, such as Madrid and Barcelona, ​​turned violet to demand the decriminalization of abortion.

After a year of revolt which became known as the “Maple Spring”—including massive street protests that received global attention—university students across Quebec were celebrating victory on Thursday night following the announcement from newly elected Premier Pauline Marois that the government was cancelling the proposed tuition hike that led to the student uprising and nullifying the contentious Bill 78 law which was introduced to curb the powerful protests.
