Turkish Bombers Excluded from Syria after massacring Kurds and Democratic forces (SDF)

Pro-jihadist Turkey can’t conduct airstrikes against Kurds in Syria anymore

info from AL-BAB (Kurdish daily News) – Since Oct 22 Turkey’s Air Forces are blocked from continuing their aerial campaigns in Syria as part of their Euphrates Shield operation, as Syria has activated its S-200 (and possibly S-300) air defense systems against the bombing by Turkish warplanes in Syrian airspace.

The Turkish Air Forces launched their last air-strike in Syria on Oct. 22, on positions of Kurdish YPG/YPJ forces, which are a big part of the SDF, a fast growing democratic, non-ethnic, non religious, anti-sexist grouping which has partial US support.

EQUIPMENT TORCHED, BARRICADES BURNED IN ND AS #NODAPL SOLIDARITY PROTESTS SPREAD

Solidarity actions are springing up around the country in response to the massive police raid on the “frontlines” camp in Standing Rock against the Dakota Access Pipeline. The eviction saw hundreds of militarized police attack the encampment with armored vehicles, tasers, pepper spray, concussion grenades, LRADS, and good old fashioned bone crushing batons.

In response warriors set up burning barricades, threw rocks, torched several large pieces of pipeline machinery and 2 security vehicles, and briefly invaded an active construction site. The Sheriff is also claiming that molotovs were thrown at police and that there were two incidents involving gunfire. At least one burning barricade was maintained through the night. While the frontlines camp has been evicted, the main encampments are still going strong and asking for supporters to join them. We Support the Revolutionaries Accused of Aachen Bank Robberies..

The gang hit for the first time at the Aachener Bank in July 2012. Around noon, they ran into the bank and demanded money at gunpoint. Then they shut the bank employees in one room. One woman wearing a blond wig, sunglasses. They spoke good German.

The Dutch press reports highlighted that the German police had been harassing and seeking to arrest the Dutch woman dubbed by them and the predatory media as the ‘leader’ for years and she had previously been held for 5 months and released as there was no evidence.rescue people not banks

The Dutch anarchists who demonstrated and continue to campaign for the release of the 3 described the charges as fabricated. The leaflets and declarations emphasize support for the arrested comrades whether ‘guilty’ or ‘innocent’ and some justified bank expropriations in the context of trillion euro bank fraud, capitalist extortion and planetary destruction. The police claim they have ‘DNA trace evidence’ on at least one of the women, but of course thousands of people go to banks, DNA evidence is unreliable, easy to plant and left behind on all kinds of objects..

I volunteered with the Help Refugees NGO at the Jungle refugee camp in Calais, France for one month, July 10 to August 10, AMA

The Calais “Jungle” is the nickname given to a refugee and migrant encampment in the vicinity of Calais, France. Many living in this camp attempt to illegally enter the United Kingdom via the Port of Calais or the Eurotunnel by stowing away on lorries, ferries, cars, or trains traveling to the UK. The camp gained global attention during the European refugee and migrant crisis when the population of the camp grew and French authorities carried out evictions. The French government plans to evacuate 6,400 migrants from the encampment in 170 buses, starting on October 24, 2016 with the intent of resettling the migrants in different regions of France.

The camp of ten thousand refugees is getting demolished today and the process will last one week, although I suspect it will take much longer.

one thing this article gets wrong is the idea that it’s easier to get asylum in France than the UK. At least before Brexit it was easier to get into the UK. Now however it’s more complicated because of politics

Refusal of aid to Haiti shows real level of US humanitarian concern

The US is happy to spend over $15 million EVERY DAY bombing and droning its enemies in Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Somalia, etc, but can’t spare the change, offering a ridiculous $13 million so far to help desperate Hurricane Matthew victims in Haiti, where it has a clear historic and moral responsibility. As of 6 October 2016 only $1.3 million has been specifically reported for the Hurricane Matthew response in Haiti.

What is the SDF?… a fast expanding multi ethnic, multi religion, anti sexist, non authoritarian federation

Since its founding last year dozens of rebel militias of all ethnic and religious hues have flocked to join the SDF (see long list and details below), as they can retain their identities and participate equally, embracing the new ideology of ‘Democratic Confederalism’ of the Rojava revolution.
