Catalonia: Kan Bici resists! Week of Resistance against the eviction, 4 till 11 May

Hi comrades and friends! The eviction of Kan Bici is probably taking place on May 10th 2018 and it is assumed that the “forces of order” will do their dirty work in one way another.

We want to invite you to participate in the activities that we have been able to prepare for the week of resistance (still missing things to confirm). We ask for the maximum distribution of the posters added to this mail. in ENGLISH

Apart from the prepared activities there is the call for decentralized actions for the day of eviction that leaves  a “free hand” to all of you to act  according to anarchist/revolutionary ideas against the system of domination and his defenders.

Between all we can prevent the eviction of Kan Bici!
Long live the Anarchy!
Kan Bici resists!

French Uprising Spreading as Police use Water Cannon, Toxic Gas and Snatch Squads.

Everywhere in France people are suffering cuts, closures and blatant injustice  under Macron’s rightwing regime. The aim is to increase Corporate profits, make the rich richer and compete with even more repressive slave economies. After sending an army of police and bulldozers to destroy the alternative ZAD social system the eco warriors fight on in the ruins and forests, calling for a mass uprising which is snowballing as we speak, calling for us to go even beyond May 68 and lay the foundations of a better world.

Main Text via RT with thanks     Police have clashed with protesters on the streets of Paris as rail workers and students continue nationwide demonstrations against sweeping new labor reforms.

Officers in riot gear fired tear gas and used water cannons to disperse protesters angry at French President Emmanuel Macron’s decision to pursue job cuts and salary freezes across the public sector, including education, transport and the courts.

In footage captured from the scene of the protest at Boulevard Saint-Jacques in the 14th arrondissement protesters can be seen throwing objects at police and lifting street-side railings to use as barriers. Live and Love the Revolution: at Self managed Anarcho-Pirate Camp: ZAD!

Notre-Dame-Des-Landes, France: Callout for self-managed anarcho-pirate camp

At the camp of the ANGRY Lama (or the “LA Masacrée”) [at the Zad], we are not giving up and we over-occupy.

A tent houses the kitchen (vegan / freegan), the new building with a wooden floor continues to rise, with three walls, a roof and a large bay window, trees were planted …

We meet every day to build, exchange, monitor the cops who monitor us (nice atmosphere of de-escalation …). We organize ourselves.

Because we do not want to manage everything or manage others, but create the breeding ground to give birth to an organisation done by and for all, without giving place to power struggles, without structural oppression (sex, race, class, .. .). 9 Anarchist Zines from December 2017, free download

Homeanarchistnews.org

By:   thecollective       The following zines were published over the past month or so within the broad anarchist space. As always, we encourage folks to read, discuss, and engage with the ideas within. Organizing study groups, talk about them with your friends, leave copies in random places, or write scathing critiques of the ideas contained within and circulate them widely. Anarchist ideas are sharper when accompanied by a robust dialog and debate.

If you have suggestions for titles to include next month, let us know.

Below & Beyond Trump: Power and Counter-Power in 2017

This is a “strategy and analysis document” published by the Black Rose Anarchist Federation. It provides an analysis of the political context for social anarchists in 2017 and the prospects for “pro-organizational revolutionary anarchists” to intervene in the current period. The documents focuses on (briefly) understanding ruling class power, social movements, and offers suggestions for a path forward. In response to their understanding of the contemporary period, they call for building social movements from below, offensive campaigns, and developing explicitly socialist practices and programs. It reads a lot like a political party platform with a lot of vague statements, sloganeering, and solutions.
