ALERTA ANTIFASCISTA! FROM THE TERRITORY UNDER DOMAIN OF BRAZILIAN GOVERNMENT! AN URGENT CALL FOR SOLIDARITY!

On May 2, at eight o’clock, local antifa and members of the Palestinian refugee community from São Paulo, called a protest against an anti-migrant demonstration organized by fascists. We arrived on Paulista Avenue, the main thoroughfare in Sao Paulo with a small group of 15-20 people to shut the demonstration down.

We fought with the fascists and the Military Police intervened on the fascist side. Eventually all the antifa were arrested. Everyone was released from the police department, except four migrant comrades.O palestino Hasan Zarif, dono do bar Al Janiah, detido pela PM após confronto com grupo anti-imigraçãoOne of the Palestinians being arrested Continue reading “Sao Paolo Antifas Disrupt Fascist Anti-Migrant March – 4 still arrested, Solidarity Needed”

Presentation of a solidarity brigade with Kurdistan in Madrid

The July 19 Brigade is a project of international solidarity that we started a group of young social activists of Madrid. We are committed to the Kurdish cause and, in general, to the search for peace and social justice in the Middle East.cartel_presentacion

In their web page we can find an article on the peculiar situation of Makhmur, as well as a brief explanation of the project that they want to realize there:

“Once in Makhmur we will work hand in hand with organized civil society. We will provide support work in the refugee camp and carry out institutional work. We can see how the forms of popular organization work and experience democratic self-government in the first person.

In addition, daily we will monitor our activity via web and social networks. Also during the stay we will make interviews and a series of recordings and photo reports that will allow us to make a documentary on our return. ‘SIDE BY SIDE, Facing Repression Together’ – New Campaign Launched

SIDE BY SIDE://colzeacolzeblog.wordpress.com

SIDE BY SIDE we confront Repression

Various anarchist groups have together launched the SIDE BY SIDE campaign . Let’s jointly face the repression and show solidarity with the people indicted more than two years ago in the so-called Operation Piñata, and other similar operations that, with the excuse of anti-terrorism, have attacked the anarchist movement.

SIDE BY SIDE, facing together the repression that seeks to dissuade us, immobilize us, discourage us. Together, not isolated. With the strength that we try to understand our differences and learn to find ourselves in complicities.
SIDE BY SIDE, that’s what we call this campaign, this cry of resistance, this new challenge to power. Another attempt to break the silence, to make visible the social conflict increasingly evident as a result of the sharpening of the structural crisis of the capitalist system.

May Day 2017: We Strike Back Against Capitalists

CALLOUT: MAY DAY 2017 – WE ARE POOR BECAUSE THEY ARE RICH… AND IT’S RIGHT TO REVOLT!

BY   May 1st is a day of solidarity with other exploited people across the world and within our communities. This is a call to reclaim and rebuild the history and struggle against oppression with an anti-capitalist gathering, celebration and resistance.Image result for mayday class war

This year we will commemorate those who fought with their lives for an 8 hour workday in Chicago over 100 years ago, and the innocent anarchists who lost their lives at the hand of the law.

On May 1st 2017 we will stand against capitalism, colonialism, borders and the state; we will stand for freedom, community and self-determination as we continue the struggles of workers started so many years ago.

Capitalism continues to steal land, life, culture and language from in the name of profit. The empire it has built on stolen land keeps workers under the boot of the bosses, the unemployed under the boot of the state, as our labour increases their profit margins and we merely survive and dream of the lives we can live in our worn-out bodies come retirement.Image result for mayday general strike migrants

On May 1st, 2017 we will gather as anti-capitalists against the systems of oppression that commodify our basic needs and force us to work for our daily bread. The food from the fields and trees and the houses on the streets have all been packaged into marketable products and fenced off from all who cannot pay the price. Kemal Bolivya, a Bolivian volunteer with the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), on Friday called on all ‘revolutionaries’ to join the Rojava revolution.

“I joined the YPG, to struggle and to build this revolution. I think all the revolutionaries of the world should learn about the Rojava revolution,” he said.

“But first we need to defend this revolution and because of that we are in Tabqa. And later we will go to Raqq and we hope this struggle will end well. Because of that I have come to Rojava,” he said.

The YPG is a leading faction within the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), that are in battle with ISIS in northern Syria. Continue reading “Bolivian fighter joins anti-ISIS Raqqa operation, calls on volunteers to join ‘Rojava revolution’”

SYRIA: The life and work of anarchist Omar Aziz in the Syrian revolution

Anarchist Omar Aziz, and his impact on self-organization in the Syrian revolution

Posted by    Omar Aziz (fondly known by friends as Abu Kamel) was born in Damascus. He returned to Syria from exile in Saudi Arabia and the United States in the early days of the Syrian revolution.

An intellectual, economist, anarchist, husband and father, at the age of 63, he committed himself to the revolutionary struggle.

He worked together with local activists to collect humanitarian aid and distribute it to suburbs of Damascus that were under attack by the regime. Through his writing and activity he promoted local self-governance, horizontal organization, cooperation, solidarity and mutual aid as the means by which people could emancipate themselves from the tyranny of the state. Can a Fascist Dictator be Elected? YES.. and Erdogan threatens Prison, Dismissal and Death to NO voters

The  referendum in Turkey is to give the president Erdogan nearly total dictatorial powers. But can a Fascist Dictator really  be Elected?

YES because in this case Erdogan has already seized dictatorial powers.. he’s supposed to be a generally symbolic president yet see below  the endless list of atrocities he has ordered.

But is he a fascist? Well, he is the absolute power in the populist far right AKP party which advocates extermination of 18 million kurds and the creation of an Ottoman Empire.

Though he screams and bullies abroad he is at home a master manipulator, head of a criminal family and business mafia, adept at abusing nationalist, sexist  and racial prejudices and feelings of resentment (even working class resentment against rich europeans) to whip up frenzied mob fervour and pursue witch-hunts against Kurds, leftists, feminists, Gulanists, minorities and anyone who dares to criticize him (or is a friend or family of any of the above).

Is this fascism.. in my definition YES. The referendum in this climate is a black joke, with every kind of pressure imaginable against No campaigners, with zero international observers coming, and with the most recent elections in Nov 2015 described as ‘stinking of mass fraud’.
