Protesters are planning to cross the Adriatic Sea from Ancona (Italy) to Greece and on to Idomeni, at the Greek-FYROM Macedonian border – their aim is to open the border and provide solidarity to the refugees gathered there – refugees who escaped war zones and crossed the Aegean, only to find that Fortress Europe in the shape of eastern European countries extending from Macedonia to Austria have raised the drawbridge to any further refugees heading north. Another contingent of protesters, with similar aims, will head for the Austrian borders. Details below…
At Idomeni, on the Greek-FYROM (Macedonian) border, the portcullis of iron fences has literally been raised alongside the miles and miles of barbed wire fencing to deter the thousands of refugees now gathered there. Last Monday, FYROM (Macedonian) police fired stun grenades and tear gas at the refugees, including children.
El dia 3 de Marzo fueron sentenciado 4 compañer*s por un juzgado especial en los sótanos de la carcel de Koriallis, sobre todo por un coche bomba contra el Banco de Grecia en Atenas. Habian varios avisos de bomba y no fue herido nadie.
El 21 de Feb uno de los acusados, Pola Roupa, se disfrazó, secuestró un helicoptero y intentó rescatar los otros compañeros. El piloto, un ex militar, se resistió y tras una lucha en el aire Pola se escapó de nuevo.
Los sentenciados, del grupo anarco-insurreccionalista Células de Fuego, recibian sentencias durísimas,
Nikos Maziotis recibió vida en la carcel +129 años + 20.000 euros de multa.
Pola Roupa recibió, en ausencia, solo 11 años, pero tendrá varios juicios más.
Antonis Stamboulis recibió 13 años de carcel.
Giorgos Petrakakos recibió 36 años de carcel + 9.000 euros de multa.

On March 3rd 2016, the Koridallos prison court sentenced all co-accused in the second trial against Revolutionary Struggle with regard to the attack with a car bomb containing 75kg of explosives against the Bank of Greece’s Supervision Directorate in central Athens on April 10th 2014 (repeated warnings were given via the media and there were no injuries)

ROME — Whatever one’s religious affiliation or belief, it must be argued that the Gods of Glorious Coincidencewere at work this week. Just as the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences was handing out the Oscar statuette for Best Picture to Spotlight last Sunday night, Cardinal George Pell, the Vatican’s No. 3 official, was seated in a dingy hotel event room testifying by video link about the very same sort of systematic clerical sex abuse exposed in the film.
But in what is really an unfathomable disconnect, accolades for breaking the silence and exposing serious clerical sex abuse in the United States seemed completely lost in Rome.

Moments d’excepció com aquests ens recorden el que de veritat volem. Sabíem i confirmem que només sortint del nostre aïllament i posant en comú les nostres vides podem afrontar la misèria d’aquest món. La inmensa solidaritat rebuda arran de la crida a omplir la Rimaia n’és una confirmació. Mil gràcies.
Han passat dues setmanes i seguim vivint en aquest edifici. Novament ha deixat de ser un espai buit i polsegós. Però aquest edifici tampoc no és una casa: és un campament, és una obertura com un forat negre que assetja des del seu centre una metròpoli de control total i total transparència. Opacs, des d’aquí ens conjurem contra la vida que se’ns fa viure, per fer que la vida mereixi ser viscuda.
