Revolution News: anti NATO rebels in Wales
Anti-Nato Protesters March to Steel Cordon Protecting World Leaders
With police in riot gear and helmets looking down from higher ground, the protesters set off from the center of Newport at lunchtime in a public show of opposition to the Nato Summit.
With the biggest gathering of world leaders ever to set foot in Wales underway at the Celtic Manor resort opponents made a three-mile trek to the venue as part of a pre-planned peaceful protest.
Hundreds of locals turned out along the way to watch the 500-strong protest procession pass along Chepstow Road.

NATO OUT!..RUSSIA OUT! Take the Toys from the Boys!
NATO has been agressively ‘marching east’ since the USSR fell, making new bases and Nuclear missile sites. Financing protest in states supporting Russia. Bullfights used to impose Patriarchy and Nationalism
Don’t expect to see a bullfight when you trip to Barcelona, the last stadium is closed and the ”sport” banned. In fact for years it was mainly kept going by the tourist industry.
The popular bumper sticker in Madrid is the bull, representing, for the Catalans, cruel bullying disguised as ‘heroic’ sexist posturing.
Barcelona cars on the other hand feature the Catalan donkey, symbolizing just a nice but stubborn animal, and maybe the ability to laugh at themselves.
In San Sebastian of the Kings, (real name Donostia in Basque) the battle against bullfighting is in full swing. Last week there was a new demo against, which was attacked by pro-bullfight thugs, sending one girl to hospital. (see report below) Continue reading “Bullfights used to impose Patriarchy and Nationalism”
MONSANTO: Desperate Resistance Scores in Mexico
Mexican Judge Departs From Script, Turns Monsanto’s Mexican Dream Into Legal Nightmare
The U.S. agribusiness giant Monsanto is long accustomed to getting its own way. Through a combination of back-channel lobbying, opaque political funding and revolving-door politics, the multinational agrochemical and biotechnology corporation has subverted, corrupted and infiltrated the elected governments of countries around the world, from the smallest and poorest to the biggest and richest.
However, if recent events in Europe and Latin America are any indication, the tide may well be subtly turning against the interests of Monsanto and its fellow GMO oligopolies and in the favor of independent food growers and consumers.

Prisoners refuse to leave prison. ‘no work, no hope..’
Alicante prisoners have been refusing provisonal freedom, saying it’s impossible to survive out of jail in the absence of work
The union ACAIP warns that Valencian prisons do not have enough space for inmates who, for fear of not subsist in the streets, are rejecting the ‘third grade’ provisional freedom.
Inmates do not want to get out of jail. This is what is happening in Alicante, where several prison inmates of the overcrowded and disgusting Fontcalent prison have refused entitlement to leave during the day due to the lack of work and resources to survive, according to the local newspaper Information. In summer 2013 members of several ABC groups discussed the necessity of introducing an International Day for Anarchist Prisoners. Given there are already established dates for Political Prisoners Rights Day or Prison Justice Day, we found it important to emphasise the stories of our comrades as well. Many imprisoned anarchists will never be acknowledged as ‘political prisoners’ by formal human-rights organisations, because their sense of social justice is strictly limited to the capitalist laws which are designed to defend the State and prevent any real social change….
CNA – Cruz Negra Anarquista…..At the same time, even within our individual communities, we know so little about the repression that exists in other countries, to say nothing of the names and cases involving many of our incarcerated comrades. This is why we have decided to introduce an annual Week for Anarchist Prisoners on August 23-30……Continue reading “anarchist prisoners/presos anarquistas.. solidarity week”
