Australian whistleblower David McBride just made the following statement on Twitter:

“I’ve been asked if I think the invasion of Ukraine is illegal.
My answer is: If we don’t hold our own leaders to account, we can’t hold other leaders to account.
If the law is not applied consistently, it is not the law.
It is simply an excuse we use to target our enemies.
We will pay a heavy price for our hubris of 2003 in the future.
We didn’t just fail to punish Bush and Blair: we rewarded them. We re-elected them. We knighted them.
If you want to see Putin in his true light imagine him landing a jet and then saying ‘Mission Accomplished’.”

As far as I can tell this point is logically unassailable. International law is a meaningless concept when it only applies to people the US power alliance doesn’t like. This point is driven home by the life of McBride himself, whose own government responded to his publicizing suppressed information about war crimes committed by Australian forces in Afghanistan by charging him as a criminal.

Since the beginning of the U.S. supported Saudi-led war on Yemen in 2015, 10,000 children have been killed or maimed.

Yemen has suffered one of the world’s worst food disasters with nearly 2.3 million children under the age of 5 suffering from acute malnourishment.

The U.S. aids and abets this war by supplying Saudis with weapons and military intelligence. Despite Biden’s promises on the campaign trail to end U.S, involvement, he has not followed through and instead the U.S. continues to fuel the Saudis War on Yemen.

Join us on the video to understand this conflict and ways to end U.S. involvement with two knowledgeable and committed activists.

On 14th of February the state security called us together with other comrades for a preliminary examination on 23rd of February as “suspects” to explain ourselves regarding the case file of Terra Incognita squat getting evicted on 17/8/2020

This is a new repressive movement that comes to be added after the arrests on the 8th of February, with 3 of our companions G. Voulgari, Panos Kalaitzis and Th. Chatziaggelou (member of our collective) getting arrested after the arson attack at the FNRR (Foundation for National and Religious Reflection).

On the 14th of February, after the forced DNA collection of our comrade Th. Chatziaggelou, we are informed that he was called for a new interrogation process regarding the eviction of Terra Incognita squat. In the following days, other calls were sent to people.

The voluminous case file contains charges for making and possessing explosives, forming a gang, forgery, theft of electricity and any other form of energy, flares and fireworks and the legislation on weapons – use of weapons in combination with another crime.

Local Hero Vows To Never Drink A Black Russian Ever Again

A Waterford man has vowed to never drink a Black Russian cocktail for however long it takes for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to back out of Ukraine.

Making the announcement on Saturday night, hero David Mannihan gathered friends and revelers attending Egan’s Nightclub around him before ordering the once popular concoction.

“I refuse to drink Black Russians,” the proud 32-year-old began, now making an overly animated ‘no’ gesture toward the mix of vodka and coffee liqueur, before pushing it back to the barman, “eh, no, I’m not paying for it either… yeah, I know you went to the trouble of making it… aw fuck, really, okay, I’ll pay for it, Jesus, how much?” Mannihan continued, now tapping his card for the €15 drink.

“Okay, I mean after this one, I’m definitely not drinking Black Russians after this one as I’ve paid for it now and might as well,” he added, realising that Black Russians aren’t bad now he tastes them, “actually, can we get a round of them in so we can all say goodbye together?”

The move was later hailed as brave by some of his now highly intoxicated peers, before being picked apart by the clique’s designated bleeding heart, Anne Ma-fucking-rie Lyons.

“That’s racist, you can’t just boycott a drink because it’s black and Russian,” Anne Marie insisted, sparking a three-hour heated debate, which ended up on the steps of a local chipper, “you’re such a hypocrite, David, eating a kebab and all the human rights violations in Yemen,” unaware kebabs were of Turkish origin and way too drunk to care.

In a statement issued today in the gangs WhatsApp group, Mannihan retracted his original boycott and apologised if he offended anyone on Saturday night.
