Berlin witnessed chaotic scenes and widespread unprovoked riot police violence on Sunday as they sought and failed to forcefully disperse anti-lockdown rallies that had been banned by authorities.

Coronavirus skeptics once again gathered in the center of the German capital despite the fact that the German authorities had banned as many as 16 protests by opponents of Covid-19 restrictions.

The rally participants were beating drums and chanting slogans such as “Peace, freedom, no dictatorship!” and “We demand the unrestricted restoration of the right to demonstrate.”

Something quite remarkable is happening in France, as we pointed out a couple of weeks ago.

Since then, opposition to the vaccine passports being imposed for everyday life has swollen to a phenomenal extent.

On Saturday July 31 massive numbers took to the streets in some 200 towns and cities across the country. There were also big protests in Italy and Switzerland.

The mainstream media are desperately trying to minimise the numbers, write off the protesters as minority “conspiracy theorists” and pretend nothing important is happening.

But their lies are just making the situation even worse for the system, as the ordinary men and women who have taken to the streets outraged at the draconian vaccine passports wake up to the fact that they have been duped in an even bigger way…

On Thursday, the NYT published an astonishing article titled ‘The Chinese Sports Machine’s Single Goal: The Most Golds At Any Cost’. The piece effectively claimed China had rigged the Olympics for political purposes, accusing it of “putting tens of thousands of children in government-run training schools” and funnelling young athletes into “less prominent sports that Beijing hopes to dominate.”

The first half of the 1950s was a quiet time for anti-fascists in the UK. The postwar threat of fascist revival, in the form of Oswald Mosley’s Union Movement, had been battered off the streets largely by the Jewish 43 Group, which had physically broken up Mosleyite meetings, attacking and dispersed fascists wherever they found them.

Britain’s prewar fascist leader Mosley had not only failed to make his comeback but had slunk off abroad, humiliated. With little to oppose, the antifascist movement faded away. The most militant of the anti-fascist organisations, the 43 Group, was dissolved in 1950 and the set piece street battles between fascists and anti-fascists soon seemed to belong to a bygone era.
Throughout the 50s, Mosley remained in exile abroad while a small group of die-hard loyalists, led by Raven Thompson, Alf Flockhart and Jeffrey Hamm, kept his Union Movement alive.
