Esta escuela saltó ya a la prensa en 2018 al tener que abonar dos sanciones de 50.002 euros por discriminación machista

Como informábamos este martes 6 de julio, una nueva agresión homófoba tenía lugar el pasado 26 de junio en Sant Cugat del Vallès, en Barcelona.

Tras asistir a un concierto, varios jóvenes se encontraban sentados en unos bancos en la calle, cuando se acercaron un reducido grupo de personas que empezaron a pedirles que les dejaran un teléfono y que les dieran tabaco, ante lo que se inició una discusión.

La situación derivó en la agresión a uno de los jóvenes y, según declaraciones de un testigo a los agentes, el supuesto agresor le gritó maricón en repetidas ocasiones, hecho que determinaría que se trató una acción homófoba.

Today we had a huge victory. Despite confusion earlier in the week about reducing numbers at camp (to be clear, we are NOT, and we need you now more than ever), we have managed to take back Waterfall Camp!

At about 5:30 this morning, forest defenders near Waterfall Camp executed an action that had been planned for weeks.

Erdogan celebrates end of Women’s Rights with 18 more femicides and 20 suspicious deaths in June

Eighteen women were murdered by men in Turkey in June and 20 more died under suspicious circumstances, in the third month since Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan withdrew from the Istanbul Convention, according to the latest report released by the We Will End Femicide Platform.

18 women killed by men, 20 more died suspiciously in Turkey in June 2021…

Nine of the women were killed at home. Twelve were murdered by their current or former husband or partner; four were killed by a relative or acquaintance; and one was murdered by her father, according to the June report.

The report further showed that nine of the femicides were committed with a gun, while four of the women were killed with a knife.

In four of the incidents, the women were murdered because they wanted to make their own decisions about their lives, such as wanting a divorce or refusing to remarry or get back together with their former husbands or partners, while two women were killed due to financial reasons.
