Turkey violated Greek airspace 2,244 times in 2014

Turkish claims that the downed Russian Su-24 jet “violated” its airspace have sparked outrage among Greeks, who took to social media to say it is a clear-cut case of double standards as Turkish jets breached Greek airspace 2,244 times in 2014 alone.

They wondered what would happen if Greece had authorized engagement of Turkish aircraft, which breach the country’s borders on a regular basis.

comment: The ultra nationalist Turkish government under ‘Emperor Erdogan’ is also accused of collusion with and support for ISIL in Syria, of breaking a ceasefire and massacring peaceful Kurdish protestors, of climate crimes, of openly blackmailing Europe with threats of dumping refugees and of stealing recent elections with a terror campaign of bombings, shootings, curfews, torture and manipulation of voting results.

On Wednesday, the Protothema newspaper released the numbers of breaches saying the Turkish Air Force is usually reluctant to share any details when it comes to such violations.

The newspaper quoted University of Thessaly statistics based on the Greek military’s count – there were 2,244 violations in 2014, an increase from 636 in 2013. Continue reading “Turkey violated Greek airspace 2,244 times in 2014”

PKK take out Turkish Gas line ..2 new wars begin.

Agri Turkey-Iran gas pipeline and power line blown up. http://kurdiscat.blogspot.com.es/ …..

”The pipeline explosion occurred yesterday and was confirmed by the Turkish Energy Minister. Although not necessary, in fact, by evidence of images. It was destroyed as it passes through the Turkish town of Agri. The pipeline has been operating at full capacity since 2014 by an agreement between the Islamist government in Ankara and Tehran. Apart from this, on July 24, a power line was attackedlinking Cizre to Silopi. Self-Defense Forces, the PKK militias, use similar actions in the last phase of the war. The high cost of losses facilitated the peace process initiated by the government of Turkey, a solution they have now decided to unilaterally break.”

comment.   So what’s the deal?.

So… another war, or another two wars begin. It is hard to believe the Turkish leaders are so upset by the slaughter of 32 socialist and anarchist community activists, mainly Kurdish (who they doubly hate, especially the women) nor could they be so irate about the (apparent) revenge killing by the PKK of 2 cops they said were linked to the slaughter, as to abandon a hard won truce of five years and declare war on 18% (or 14million) of their own population. .. It seems this had been brewing for a while and they’ve been waiting for  or making a pretext.

Although the imprisoned PKK leader Ocalan has long renounced Leninism and terrorism and has fomented the ‘Municipal anarchism ‘  of the Rojava Revolution, the Turkish State, led by ‘mad dog’ Erdogan just can’t stomach  any Kurdish authonomy .. So what’s the deal?….seems that in return for the US NOT helping the Kurds (YPG and YPJ) move west, joining with another enclave and usefully expelling the IS forces attacking Aleppo, the US bombers get to use their base in Incirlik..

For now the furious Turkish military aren’t allowed to just bomb the Rojava Revolution to oblivion  (how they HATE those free women).. but we don’t know what else was in the deal. So IS get to be bombed by the Turks as well in some areas (how much?), but the YPG and YPJ wont be let come and kick them out.

But bombing IS doesn’t work. This means that a 50km stretch of border west of Kobani may stay in IS hands and they can switch their blocked trade and expand their lucrative supply lines, always tolerated by Turkey, of indoctrinated recruits, money and goods, in exchange for oil.  The border held by IS So the wars within insane immoral wars will be ‘lubricated’ and arms profits will further boom.

. (The Jarablous area and crossing could easily be taken by the Kurds, with air help, but this is now ruled out by the Turkish/US agreement. Equally it could be taken by the Aleppo rebel groups from the West… ruled out because the US would be seen aiding Al Nusra.)

Death of Freedom: IS and Turks unite against Kobanê revolution

11/10/2014 MANIFESTACIÓN POR KOBANE.. 5.00 Plaza Catalunya, Barcelona

update: see Roar article below

KO

Latest reports say that IS attackers have been re-armed and have taken more than half of Kobanê the last stand of the progressive YPG Kurdish volunteers.

All of the surrounding countryside has been lost, with nearly 200,000 refugees in Turkey.

Kurdish reinforcements are still held back by the Turkish army in nearby Efrîn i Cizîrê.

Food water and ammunition are running out and the IS forces are massacring, burning, raping, looting and imposing Sharia law.

The Turkish army are sealing the border and giving direct physical and medical aid to the Islamist forces.

In the last few days over 30  people have also died in Turkey in protests against Turkish support of IS and blocking of Kurdish reinforcements.

Arin MirkanArîn Mîrkan and her children

The amazing resistance to barbaric macho IS by the progressive revolutionary volunteers in Kobanê is summed up in the fate of Arîn Mîrkan , among thousands of others.

Arîn Mîrkan was a commander of the Women’s Defense Units (YPJ), defending the Kurdish city Kobanê against the attacks of the Islamic State. Kobanê is on the 21st day of courageous resistance against IS. Arîn was surrounded by the jihadists, but instead of surrendering and falling into their dirty hands, she detonated herself and killed many IS-members with her. KURDISTAN/SYRIA: Anarchists join struggle against ISIS in Kobane

update 27/sept 18.00: US jets have attacked IS forces outside Kobane, ironically aiding anti-capitalist locals.

Istanbul anarchists along other leftists, feminists, and ‘Gezi park types’ have managed to cross over into Syria and the northern town of Kobane which is currently threatened by ISIS.

Vice reported yesterday that ISIS is within 5 miles of the city and are attacking with US military equipment including tanks that outmatches the weapons available to the YPG – Kurdish People’s Protection Units . Vice also reported that “Hundreds of Turkish Kurds are arriving too, sneaking or bribing their way across the border to fight alongside the YPG”

The photo shows a banner of the anarchist group DAF apparently just after the border has been crossed. The statement we were sent says “People are suffering from hunger and thirst, getting ill, getting injured; migrating and dying. They are still fighting in that struggle for existence. People are fighting not for the schemes and strategies around meeting tables, not for income, but for their freedom”

We hope to bring more details and further photos as they become available

“Thousands of young people, socialists, trade unionists, revolutionary, feminist, libertarian poured in from all over Turkey to Kobanê. They and they go there to support and defend the city réfugié.es.

The Turkish army tries to disperse them, it is accused of being much more permissive with the jihadists who are trying, too, to cross the border to join Daech.

Despite the blocks of the Turkish army, hundreds of activists and militants have managed to cross the border. Among them, the comrades of the Revolutionary Anarchist Action Group, who made the trip to Istanbul to join the defense of Kobanê, and sent these photos.”
