The Global Sumud Flotilla faces a terrorist attack from Israel, like all previous flotillas

The boats heading for Gaza have received warnings of an imminent attack by Israel. While waiting for the ships from Italy and Spain to arrive, which will “take about 3 days”, the ships continue their mission.

The Global Sumud Flotilla organization called an urgent press conference this afternoon to report on the current status of the vessels and the next steps to be taken after receiving reliable information of a possible attack by Israel.
The first thing that has been done is to confirm that after the latest Israeli attack, with drones that dropped objects on the boats and sprayed them with some type of toxic substance, everyone on board is safe and the mission continues.
The flotilla continues its course to Gaza despite threats
Waiting for the ships sent by Spain and Italy to arrive—it is estimated that these vessels will reach the flotilla’s vessels in about three days—this is one of the most critical moments of the mission, which no longer plans to make any further technical stops until reaching the enclave, if that ultimately occurs.
LATE NEWS

The Italian Navy frigate has arrived on the horizon.! In the most unexpected news of the day, Italy has sent a Navy ship to escort the Global Summit Flotilla after it was attacked. .. COMMENTS.. The update is accurate, Angelina! I remain a cynical however regarding the reason that they’re going there. Are they going to prevent the flotilla from getting close to Gaza to keep them from danger? Or are they going to prevent them from being attacked. Things are changing..!? … Meloni heads a fascist administration, governing a country with deep ties, to the zionist entity. … https://substack.com/@deaglanomulrooney/note/c-159387215?

To this end, and following recent events, threats from Israel have intensified considerably. In addition to the three attacks already suffered by some of the vessels, the Netanyahu government has launched a fierce smear campaign against the activists on board, whom it links to Hamas. A pretext that paves the way for justifying whatever its intentions may be regarding the flotilla.
The mission no longer plans to make any further technical stops until reaching Gaza, if that ultimately occurs.

Six civilian ships of the 2010 Gaza Freedom Flotilla were raided by Israel on 31 May 2010 in international waters in the Mediterranean Sea. Nine of the flotilla passengers were killed during the raid, with 30 wounded (including one who later died of his wounds). [1][2]Wikipedia

Since 2010, attempts from the Freedom Flotilla II in 2011, Freedom Flotilla III in 2015, Women’s Boat to Gaza in 2016, Just Future for Palestine Flotilla in 2018, and flotillas in June and July 2025, have all been intercepted, raided or attacked by Israeli forces. Wikipedia

The press conference was intended to alert the international media of an alleged imminent attack by the Israelis. As indicated by the organization, a notification has been received from the Luxembourg government warning of a possible attack. On its social media, the flotilla states that other governments have also issued warnings for their nationals on board.
Regarding the presence of the Italian and Spanish vessels, sent by both governments, German activist Yasemin Acar, another of those on board, stressed that they are not the ones who need protection, “but the Palestinian population,” and that, while “all help is welcome, these governments need to protect Palestine and do so by cutting all ties with Israel.”
“I ask journalists and the media not to amplify Israel’s narrative and to verify the facts,” said German activist Yasemin Acar.
Acar recalled what happened with the Mavi Marmara in 2010, another flotilla that attempted to reach Gaza and ended with 10 Turkish crew members killed by Israeli forces. The activist recalled the strategies Israel is using, now and in the past, to discredit the flotilla through lies (such as accusing the activists on the boats of terrorism or accusing them of links to Hamas). “Something that is not new,” Yasemin said.

Flotilla anticipates ‘imminent violent Israeli attack’, will hold press conference shortly Al Jazeerea Flotilla organisers say they have received “credible intelligence” that “Israel is likely to escalate violent attacks on the flotilla within the next 48 hours”, potentially with weapons that could scuttle boats or cause fatalities.
Kleoniki Alexopoulou, a Greek national also aboard the flotilla, asked that the Israeli Foreign Ministry’s claims, which insist on the idea that the flotilla has ties to Hamas, not be given credence.
“We only ask for justice for the Palestinian population,” Alexopoulou demanded, convinced that the flotilla’s mission will be successful. She also stressed that now is one of the most critical moments.
Also from aboard the boats, activist Varsha Gandikota demanded that the words condemning the genocide in Gaza be translated into action, referring to the total embargo and all relations with the State of Israel. The meeting also featured a speech.

A statement by Arab-American lawyer Lamis J. Deek.
The organization took the opportunity to express its gratitude for the support received from the public and the media reporting on the mission, and asserted that Israel’s violent intimidation is growing increasingly intense.
“The level of violence and harassment is what we would expect from a state like Israel; it would be surprising if they chose a different response,” said Mandla Mandela, a former member of the South African National Assembly who was aboard one of the flotilla ships.
“We will do everything in our power despite the circumstances, and we will not cease in our efforts until the genocide ends and the Palestinian people are free.”

100 people killed in Gaza in the last 24 hours
While the fifty boats of the Global Sumud flotilla advance toward Gaza—if nothing goes wrong, they are expected to arrive in the enclave in about four or five days—the State of Israel continues its campaign of terror and genocide in Gaza. In the last 24 hours, about 100 people have been killed.
