Terror in Gaza: End the cycle of retaliationANONYMOUS BACKS GAZA VICTIMS WITH MASSIVE HACK ATTACK ON ISRAELI WAR STATE see below |
| ”This post on the Gaza horror is 6 years old. It could have been written today. Israel will never change its policy of State terrorism while it is sponsored by the biggest bully on the block :the USA. The fascistic government needs a few Israeli deaths to prop up falling support for its national/religious regime.”admin |

If Israel ever hopes to stop the cycle of brutal violence, it must take negotiations more seriously, writes Bishara [AFP]

| Watching the escalation in Israel/Palestine and the preparations for a possible all-out assault on the Gaza Strip, one hears many insightful and original commentary. Alas, when it’s original it’s usually inaccurate, and when it’s right it’s hardly new. Netanyahu, like his predecessors, is using the assassination of Hamas’s leader Ahmad Jabari and subsequent escalation to undermine the Palestinian leadership’s (Hamas and Fatah’s) political standing and improve his own political chances, by underlining Israel’s national security over economic security as the core issue preoccupying the nation, ahead of the elections. To make the point, here’s a piece I published six years ago titled, “Mideast: End the cycle of retaliation“, with minor changes of dates, names etc. As they continue to repeat themselves tirelessly and recycle the same claims, I shall repeat my analysis…( * 0nly changes are in yellow italics)

The Loiterers Resistance Movement – Loitering with Good Intentions
The Loiterers Resistance Movement, a collective of urban explorers “loite

ring with intent to make Manchester wonderful”, is probably Manchester’s only local history and walking group watched over by the Greek goddess of chaos, Eris, and influenced by the flâneur, a dandy-esque Victorian figure who wandered the city as a detached observer.Founder Morag Rose complains “modern society is so rigid”. Chaos, on the other hand, “can be a creative force”.Morag explains, “chaos is thought of as scary, but it can be beautiful”.
In a manifesto-esque statement of intent on the internet, The LRM lists its likes and dislikes: “plants growing out of the side of buildings” are good, “gentrification” is bad. The LRM celebrates the “colourful and diverse”. Continue reading “Loiterers Resistance Movement,”

Multiple Worlds
-‘Maybe you’re not a real man if you don’t act that way..’–
-‘Shut up and stay quiet Danny.’- said Maxie. Elbowing her brother in the ribs. –‘I’m just explaining for Macker, now don’t be slagging me off.’-
Maxie, Danny and Macker sat on the floor, leaning against the steamy side wall of the muggy greenhouse. Sharing a long bottle of cold beer in the half dark. And waiting. Maxie had arranged and double checked everything. But the Mexicans were running late. Continue reading “serial of The Free. Chs 17 and 18. Multiple Worlds and Punky and Perky.”

Posted on November 14, 2012 by Nathan Simpson
A bill in Nigeria’s House of Representatives has unanimously passed it’s second reading that would criminalize same-sex marriage, same-sex public displays of affection, and all gay organizations. Having a same-sex marriage would be punishable with 14 years imprisonment, and anyone who helps could get up to 10 years as well.
“It is alien to our society and culture and it must not be imported,” House majority leader Mulikat Adeola-Akande said during debate, referring to same-sex marriage.
“Religion abhors it and our culture has no place for it,” she added. Continue reading “Senate okays Nigeria anti-gay law..Time to protest is NOW .”
