According to data released by human rights organizations operating in the country, the war in Yemen has already caused the death of 3,182 minors in various regions of the country.
The news states that “973 children were killed by air strikes, while 1,584 children lost their lives on the front lines. Another 250 died from live bullets and 152 from landmines.”
Saudi Arabia launched the devastating war against Yemen in March 2015, in coalition with its Arab allies and with the logistical and arms support of the US and several Western states.
We returned to view the owls two evenings after our first encounter with them. When we arrived we discovered two of the youngsters sitting within a couple of meters of our observation location.
These birds quickly, but very clumsily, flew down into the wash and perched, side by side, on the same large Palo Verde on which I had previously observed one of the youngsters.

Circumstances seem to keep pushing the United States and Russia closer and closer to a horrifying showdown.
If I was in the White House, I would be doing all that I could to try to find a way out of this mess. Unfortunately, the guy currently leading our nation is a hothead in an advanced state of mental decline, and he is surrounded by the worst foreign policy team in U.S. history. That is a recipe for disaster, but most Americans seem to be entirely convinced that a full-blown war with Russia is extremely unlikely. Most of us seem to think that we can keep escalating the conflict in Ukraine without ever suffering any serious consequences. Unfortunately, the Russians see things very differently.
On Russian television, there is constant discussion about how the conflict in Ukraine is really a proxy war between the United States and Russia. For example, just consider this recent quote…
