The buildings that make up the property, abandoned forat least nine years, is a well-known businessman in Granollers
The CSO (self-run Occupied Centre) was made public on 19 February after a parade through the streets of Granollers. The action announcement came days after the occupation, the owner is a well known entrepreneur who has different properties scattered around the city. It is also an insult to the thousands of scientists and environmentalists and public who have dedicated years to getting this key step in climate control.

Led in many cities by Latino activists calling for a “huelga general,” (General Strike) the February 16 coast-to-coast walkouts augur well for an even larger set of strikes and demonstrations, including a March 8 “Day Without a Woman” and quite possibly a May Day general strike, already endorsed by one of the Service Employees International Union’s biggest and most active California locals….

Divest from Fossil Fuels…. Campaigns

 On a cold and snowy night, almost 5.000 people protested against gas extraction in Groningen.

Almost 5000 came out for the largest protest against gas extraction in Dutch history.  In the northern city of Groningen, people arrived in huge numbers, carrying torches and home-made banners.  Children and adults marched through the city centre demanding an end to gas extraction in the region.

They also called on Shell and Exxon to pay for the damage to their homes caused by over a thousand earthquakes induced by extraction, and for the Dutch government to break its ties with the gas industry and speed up the energy transition away from fossil fuels. =The NoDAPL Global Solidarity Campaign has called for a Week of Action from February 12th – 17th. The Army Corps has approved the final easement and drilling has begun! The Solidarity Campaign is asking for supporters to take action and escalate pressure against corporations that are funding the Dakota Access Pipeline.
