CO2-free Car and Jet Fuel ALREADY EXISTS!

I’ve checked it out.. of course, it was Richard Branson of Virgin Airlines who promised to spend billions on a new GREEN air fuel,

After years of greenwash posing and ballyhoo he plans to use some  ethanol, which hardly reduces emissions and removes plants which could be used for food.

But wait a minute.. CO2  free fuel has always existed!! (see previous post)  here

Are all these people totally sold out  or totally STUPID?

Anhydrous Ammonia is cheaper to produce than jet fuel, easy to make from solar powered systems, produces ZERO ZERO ZERO CO2, and has been extensively tested back in the 60s by NASA, with the X15 plane that reached a record 4520 mph!.( okay they mixed some oxygen fuel)   http://www.nasa.gov/centers/dryden/news/FactSheets/FS-052-DFRC.html

ZERO EMISSIONS  GREEN JET FUEL ALREADY EXISTS. only that converting the planes might cut into gluttonous profits.

Running your car on Green Gas (nh3) may be a little slower… running it on petroleum will ultimately destroy life conditions on the planet!

Heres the plane..

why not use Green Gas, nh3?: no emissions. From air and water!

To go on from yesterday’s post we include material below from the Greennh3 company which is trying to market Green Gas.  The 1st photo is from 1933, the train and tractor are running now.

What a crime we have to use petroleum and destroy the planet just to enrich a cartel of powerful corporations…when cheap emissions free energy has been available all along!

GreenGas machines make Green sustainable fuel from air and water at any location where fuel is needed in any quantity.

HOW

  • We have two proven green ways to make the fuel and three green ways to use it.
  • Green NH3 is manufactured from simply air and water using clean renewable energy.
  • Not to be confused with brown ammonia which can come from coal or other fossil sources.

Power*  +  Green NH3 Synthesizer  = Zero Emission Fuel for less cost than gas and diesel

Producing NH3 as a green fuel

  • Only fuel except hydrogen that produces no greenhouse gases.
  • Anhydrous ammonia is an ultra-clean, energy-dense alternative liquid fuel.
  • Ammonia will power diesel and spark-ignited internal combustion engines, direct ammonia fuel cells, and even combustion turbines.

*Some possible Power sources that can be used:

  • windsolar (p.v.),daylight (not p.v.), low cost off-peak, shore tidal, hydro, ocean wave, ocean temp diff., ocean current

Letter to PM and Mr McGinty   (Canada)

March 20, 2011 | Author Green Gas

GreenGas again sent registered mail to PM Harper and Mr McGinty reminding them ( as they have every six months for the last 2 yrs ) that there is a lower cost, clean, safe alternative to tar sands oil or drilling which could save Canadians money and help clean up their environment. No reply at present.

GreenGas has been used safely on farms here for over 50 years.

Agenda 21: Sustainabilty or buckets of Greenwash??

Here in Spain local right wing council’s are competing to declare support for Agenda 21, Sustainability, Environmental awareness, etc. All good citizens are urged to take part, and the response is good.   Because everyone knows by now that  we’re destroying the life supporting mechanisms of the planet.

Okay it’s super necessary that we all take part, but without touching the rampant consumption that is the base of capitalism, we are all pissing against a gale force wind.

Suddenly AGENDA 21 is all the fashion, nobody mentions that it was first agreed in 1992 at the Rio Summit, and has taken almost 20 years to get off the drawing board. Meanwhile every field of environment, climate and biodiversity crises have been taking giant steps backwards.

It seems like Agenda 21 may  be used by corrupt business and politicos as one more LOAD OF GREENWASH and even an excuse to CUT SERVICES in the name of sustainability. No reason not to support the idea, I support it, while exposing the hypocritical cant of those profiting from destroying our planet.

” The world’s leading ozone destroyer takes credit for leadership in ozone protection. A mammoth greenhouse gas emitter professes the precautionary approach to global warming. A major agrichemical manufacturer trades in a pesticide so hazardous it has been banned in many countries, while implying it is helping feed the hungry. A petrochemical firm uses the waste from one polluting process as raw material for another hazardous process, and boasts of an important recycling initiative. Another giant multinational cuts timber from virgin rainforest, replaces it with monoculture plantations and calls the project “sustainable forest development.”

”Welcome to the world of GREENWASH, where transnational corporations (TNCs) are preserving and expanding their markets by posing as friends of the environment and enemies of poverty. Greenwash takes many forms: from the pious concern for the environment expressed in expensive advertising campaigns, to the “continuous improvement” ballyhooed in voluntary codes of conduct; from the creation of benign-sounding corporate front groups, to the participation of TNCs in environmental conferences and events. All these efforts share the goal of avoiding national and international sanctions on dirty TNC operations, which are at the root of many global environmental crises.”

Snow monkeys

Japanese macaque

Japanese macaques are the most northerly-living non-human primates. In the forested and mountainous, region of Japan where they’re found, some populations have been known to bathe in hot springs during the freezing winters and swim during the sweltering summer heat. Japanese macaques have become famous for washing their food in saltwater before they eat it, both cleaning it and enhancing the taste. This skill has spread through the population and down the generations. For fun these macaques make snowballs, just like us…..

Millions will be Fleeing Floodwaters

(  ”Governments worldwide are laying plans for millions of deaths as Capitalism goes for broke, wilfully ignoring the Science that points to runaway climate change and a finally a planet only inhabited by rich dictators in bunkers. The war against the people and all the species of the world has already begun. It would only be logical self defense to start shooting extreme Climate Criminals tomorrow.” The Free   )

OSLO, Jun 9, 2011 (IPS) – Mass migration will inevitably be part of human adaptation to climate change, experts agree, since parts of the world will become uninhabitable in the coming decades.

Last year, 38 million people were displaced by climate-related disasters such as the flooding in Pakistan and China.

“Human displacement due to climate change is happening now. There is no need to debate it,” Jonas Gahr Støre, Norway’s minister of foreign affairs, told over 200 delegates attending the Nansen Conference on Climate Change and Displacement in the 21st Century in Oslo Jun. 6-7.

Governments and the humanitarian community need to understand this fact – and that it will get much worse in the coming decades, Støre said.

Without major emissions reductions, climate change could get far worse than anyone is prepared to think about.

“It may be more realistic to consider four degrees C of warming rather than two degrees C,” suggested Harald Dovland, former head of the Norwegian Delegation to the United Nations climate change negotiations.

The world has already warmed 0.8C and will rise to least 1.6 C even if all emissions of carbon and other greenhouse gases ended today, James Hansen, head of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, told the conference.

A four-degree C warmer world is a very different planet and risks runaway climate change. Even two degrees C is not safe, Hansen said.

“The last time the planet was two degrees C warmer was during the Pliocene (five to 2.4 million years ago) and sea levels were 25 metres higher,” he said. “If we burn all the fossil fuels (coal, oil, natural gas) we’re creating conditions that future generations will be unable to cope with.”

Even though a four-degree C warmer world “is choosing the suicidal path”, experts must avoid fuelling xenophobia with predictions of mass migrations and conflicts, says Francois Gemenne, research fellow at the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations in Paris.

“This also feeds into a security agenda of panic and paranoia,” Gemenne said.

“Responsible” soy labelled ”greenwash. Earth 1st.

Soy fields encroach on Brazilian rainforests accelerating deforestation and destroying biodiversity. Life is replaced by industrial agriculture.

On Wednesday 8 June, the first bags of certified “responsible” soy will be issued to companies such as Ahold and FrieslandCampina, during a ceremony in Rotterdam. This voluntary certification scheme is an initiative of the World Wildlife Fund and will be marketed by the Round Table on Responsible Soy (RTRS). One certificate represents one tonne of soy products: beans, flour or oil. [1]

However, the new label has repeatedly been dismissed by hundreds of organisations as “greenwashing”. Networks including Friends of the Earth International, Global Forest Coalition and Food & Water Watch wrote a letter in March this year to warn supermarkets not to cooperate with this misleading label. 23,000 consumers signed an email petition with a similar message. [2]

“This soylabel is a typical example of consumer deceit”, says Nina Holland of Corporate Europe Observatory. “Importing soy for industrial livestock farming in the Netherlands is inherently unsustainable. Apart from that the soy is produced with intensive use of agrotoxins. Even genetically manipulated soy that is resistant to the herbicide Roundup can be called ‘responsible’ according to this new label”, she adds.

Fracking the world. New Int.

Issue 442

Big oil is on the move. there’s a rush to exploit new sources of ‘unconventional’ natural gas via hydraulic fracturing – or ‘fracking’. The environmental price tag, as Joyce Nelson reports, is steep.

www.gaslandthemovie.com

Warning: drink at your peril! Tap water drawn from aquifers that have been contaminated by fracking is so full of toxic chemicals that it can be set alight.

Caution: flammable water

I was getting horrible burns and rashes from taking a shower and then my dogs refused to drink the water…

In North America, shale gas has become increasingly controversial because of fracking. Huge volumes of water are mixed with sand and dozens of toxic chemicals like benzene, toluene and xylene, and then injected under extreme pressure to shatter the underground rock reservoir and release gas trapped in the rock pores. Each ‘slick-water frack’ uses nearly 20 million litres of freshwater. The toxic chemicals mixed in the water endanger groundwater aquifers and threaten to pollute nearby water-wells. With horizontal drilling, a well can be fracked more than a dozen times, making the fractures extend several kilometres………..

Filmmaker Josh Fox found the same thing happening across the US in many of the 34 states where fracking is taking place. His feature-length documentary, Gasland, won a Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award this year.

Gasland shows a man setting his water alight and people in 10 different states talking about how their communities were ruined by hydraulic fracturing. One gas company recently bought out the town of Dimock, Pennsylvania, for $4.1 million because fracking made the water completely undrinkable. Fox calls his documentar

y ‘a public health story’ because ‘health problems throughout these regions are really rampant’……..

In Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and West Virginia over the past two years, almost 1,000 small-to-medium-sized earthquakes are being investigated as ‘induced earthquakes’ caused by nearby fracking and wastewater disposal wells.

Meanwhile, the reputation of shale gas – as a clean fossil fuel that could last for a century – is rapidly deteriorating. In January, new research by the EPA found that greenhouse gas emissions from fracking are almost 9,000 times higher than previously calculated, because of methane emissions. And some petroleum geologists are now saying that because the wells deplete so quickly shale gas represents only about seven years’ supply in North America.

Given the consequences it’s no wonder the industry is fretting about its public image. As Kevin Anderson, Professor of Energy and Climate Change at the University of Manchester’s Tyndall Centre, puts it: ‘The only safe place for shale gas is in the ground.’…
