After worldwide solidarity actions the judge finally ordered the release on bail of € 3,000 each of the anarchists imprisoned for Pandora operation. 4 others arrested already got bail.

This is the award winning ‘DeadCity’ (Ciutat Morta) with English subtitles, finally seen on TV in Catalonia by over half a million this week (with 5 minutes censored).

It tells the story of a police vendetta, torture, and frame-up of 5 obviously and totally innocent people in vengeance for an ‘accident’ when a plant pot fell or was thrown on a policeman’s head, leaving him paraplegic, during a mass raid on a squatters party in Barcelona. How police, politicians, press and Courts at every level combined to blame bystanders who looked like anarcho punks and hound to her death a lesbian poet who wasn’t even there.

The ‘Expropriated Bank’ is one of 7 occupied social centers in ex banks in and around Barcelona. Though long overdue for eviction the State has hesitated, perhaps a bit nervous after failing to evict Can Vies last year due to huge solidarity.
Maybe they don’t want to coincide with widespread public anger at the jailing of 7 activists for being anarchists. (Mass Demos vs. Gag law and Arrest of Anarchists)
Perhaps they wish to avoid more opposition to their corrupt banks which have presided over the eviction of up to half a million people to balance their crooked books.
