This spring, the IWW and allied community groups organized prison labor strikes of thousands of incarcerated workers in Alabama, Wisconsin, Texas, Mississippi, and Ohio—all demanding the right to form a union. The IWW Incarcerated Workers Organizing Committee has called for a nationwide prison strike from September 9 to mark the 45th anniversary of the Attica prison uprising and claims it has the support of thousands of prisoners throughout the United States.

On September 9th, prisoners across the United States will begin a strike that will be a general work stoppage against prison slavery. In short, prisoners will refuse to work; they will refuse to keep the prisons running by their own labors.

Prisoners are striking not just for better conditions or changes in parole rules, but against prison slavery. Prisoners state that under the 13th Amendment which abolished racial slavery, at the same time it allowed human beings to be worked for free or next to nothing as long as they were prisoners.

Prisoners see the current system of prison slavery to thus be a continuation of racial slavery, which is a system that generates billions of dollars in profits each year for major corporations in key industries such as fossil fuels, fast food, banking, and the US military. US betrays allies as Turkey vows to Destroy inspiring Rojava Revolution.

Late news, The Kurds and allies, the SDF/YPG have retreated south of the river Sajur to make a defensive line against Turkey attacking the liberated from ISIS city of Manbij. Manbij, like all towns in the Rojava revolution, is run democratically and with sex equality by a Council composed proportionally of all the local forces (not by the SDF/YPG).

This is what Turkish tanks and jets are aiming to destroy and replace with the medieval mockery of Islam of their ISIS and allied militias. The SDF/YPG have no tanks or air force and have been betrayed by their US allies so can not now continue the offensive against ISIS in Al Bab or towards Raqqa..

As predicted here the Turkish anti ISIS invasion of Syria is an excuse to continue their genocidal murder torture, repression and enslavement of Kurds and all things Kurdish.

Back in Turkey the police have closed down the only Kurdish Language Newspaper (for about 18 million Kurds) The paper was already compelled to adopt a strict pro-government line, the assault on the headquarters ‘Azadiya Welat’ by agents of Erdogan has clearly political intentions.

The entire staff of 27 people were arrested and their fate is unknown.

It was the only newspaper in the Kurdish language in the whole of Turkey and follows a long line of repression against the Kurdish minority .

We recall that one month and three days ago the Turkish conservative Islamist government also arrested Zeynel Abidin Bulut, editor of the same publication.

Erdogan is at present negotiating visa free entry in the EU and threatening repeatedly to ‘unleash millions of refugees’ on Europe unless his visa and other demands are met.

‘Emperor’ Erdogan uses pretext of Childrens’ Wedding Massacre..to attack the Victims!

This is at least the third time it has happened. That a massacre of Kurds has been immediately followed up by a Turkish State attack on Kurds. In this case the ‘Childrens Massacre’ is being used as an obvious pretext to invade Syria. These are the 3 apparent ‘False Flag’ attacks:

– July 20, 2015, Suruç: 34 Kurdish humanitarian volunteers were killed and about 100 injured in a suicide bombing in the predominantly-Kurdish town of Suruc near the border with Syria. Turkish officials blamed ISIS.

But instead of cracking down on ISIS they immediately began a blitzkrieg persecution of the Kurds themselves who were the victims, resulting in the end of the ceasefire and the whole Peace Process initiated by the Kurdish leader Ocalan, and a wave of Turkish nationalism that boosted Erdogan’s march to supreme dictator. Celtic Football Fans join Support Palestine Movement against Israeli Apartheid

”This was about standing up for humanity. People lose their lives there daily. We see incidences of small children being jailed by Israeli soldiers. Abuse is not always ‘Visible’ as Megan Short was Punished by Death for Realizing

‘On August 6, Short’s planned moving day, she was found shot to death alongside her three children, her husband, and their dog in the family’s Pennsylvania home. A “murder/suicide note” was found “near one of the deceased adults,”

Megan Short, 33, posted a request to Facebook, asking for help moving on August 6. Only weeks earlier, she had commented under an article posted by a friend, saying she was leaving her husband.

The article, written by Leigh Stein, was titled, “He didn’t hit me. It was still abuse.” In it, Stein explained that, while working at a diner, her boyfriend made her shower twice a day, so she “wouldn’t smell like French fries after work” and so that she could shave her entire body, “or else he wouldn’t touch me.”

He also told Stein she “wasn’t sexy” and that, therefore, he needed to sleep with other women. Stein didn’t see her relationship as abusive, at the time, because her abuse was invisible — there were no bruises to prove it. “I didn’t know what to name what I couldn’t see,” she writes.

Like so many other women, Stein had learned that red flags were, in fact, “romance.” She writes, “I felt like I was in a movie — how quickly we moved in together and isolated ourselves from friends and family, because all we needed was each other.” Women are groomed to become victims of abuse, in this way.
