The Prefectures of Castellon has imposed a fine of 6,000 euros on each of the 35 activists who prevented a bull from being set on fire for ”sport” in the town of Olocau del Rey. The UK is a nation of ‘hidden feminists’ declares Fawcett Society – Over two thirds support equality for women and men but most resist the feminist label – Over two thirds of people (67%) support equality for women and men.
150 years after Millicent Fawcett first delivered the petition for women’s suffrage to parliament, the biggest ever poll of its kind, conducted by Survation, has shown that there is widespread support for feminist values in the UK (1). However it seems we are a nation of ‘hidden feminists’ with only 7% of people across the UK actually describing themselves as feminist. U.K. Illegally at War in Yemen*
Prime Minister David Cameron should admit that Britain is at war in Yemen without ever having sought parliamentary approval, an SNP politician has said.
The remark was issued by Scottish National Party (SNP) MP Angus Robertson in the House of Commons on Wednesday.
During Prime Minister’s Questions, Robertson, the SNP’s Westminster leader, asked what the U.K. was doing to promote peace in Yemen where a Sunni/Shia proxy war is currently being fought with substantial loss of life.
Robertson said civilians were being killed by the Royal Saud Air Force,
“who have done that using British-built planes with pilots who are trained by British instructors, and who are dropping British-made bombs and are coordinated by the Saudis in the presence of British military advisers.
