Amsterdam: Council of State wants the ADM gone within five months

On 25 July 2018, in higher appeal, the Council of State has announced ADM must be empty within 5 months, by 25 December 2018. A new court case started by the ADM against the city of Amsterdam took place on 23 july 2018.

 

The ADM festival 2018 is scheduled from 20 till 23 September 2018.

Catania (Italy): Eviction Fails against Self Organised Student Occupation

Catania (Italy): In solidarity with Studentato 95100

via squat.net  shared with thanks  On Monday June 25, it was suddenly announced that the occupied student housing block in Catania (studentato 95100) would be evicted, on grounds of public order. People made barricades on the street and saw off the eviction threat.

The block was squatted in February 2018 after being empty for ten years. In the last six months the owner (Ursino Recupero) had made no attempt to contact the students, who have self-organised their accommodation since the university fails to provide it. Anna Campbell’s friends Occupy Kurdistan Place for 4 days

A radical political space was briefly opened in central London on Sunday May 27. Kurdistan Place was occupied by friends of Anna Campbell  in solidarity with the Kurdish Freedom Movement. In a statement, the occupiers said: “We want this space to enable learning about Kurdish culture and Kurdish liberation’s emancipatory politics.

We also want this space to enable solidarity and anti-capitalist organising.” The first meeting there was held by the Anarchist Action Network and there  were workshops on Kurdish language and dance plus a talk on anti-fascism before it was announced  by @KurdistanPlace on Twitter that the occupation was ending on May 31.
