Late News: Telefonica relents and calls a meeting to negotiate the three demands of the strikers. #OccupyMovistarstrikers leave, their mission accomplished: Telefonica has been forced to climb down after 51 days of the strike and agrees to meet with #ResistenciaMovistar.
A victory for the working men and women despite the long news blackout of the mainstream media and the treachery of the mainstream CCOO ‘communist’ and the ‘socialist’ UGT unions.

One hundred people entered the lobby of the building occupying it indefinitely, with the support of Iaioflautes, the Yellow Assembly, the PAH, the IAC, CGT anarcho syndicalist union and CUP Barcelona.

The Telefónica building in Barcelona Portal del Angel has been for two years the permanent headquarters of the Mobile World Congress. This building was the setting for this afternoon of a forceful protest action by the striking subcontractors of Telefonica-Movistar.
They occupied by surprise a few minutes after one o’clock. The security guards guarding the doors of the ground floor have been unable to do anything to prevent the protest entered the lobby.
Initially the commercial shop staff continued to respond to customers, but with the speakers, stickers and noise the permanent employees decided the business of the day had finished. Before 2.00 all staff were ordered to go home.
Accompanying the activists in the protest were Yayoflautas ( the radical pensioners), the yellow tidal wave Assembly (the anti education decimation campaign), Marea Blanca (the health cuts campaigners), PAH (the mortgage evictees occupy campaign), IAC, and CUP (radical Catalanist party), and the CGT Barcelona anarcho syndicalists. 
By midafternoon ‘Barcelona in Common’ (Común) have also shown their solidarity, bringing snacks and drinks and there was a busy presence of people going through this central point of the city and showing their support of the strikers.
“We will not leave here until the direction of the company sits down and negotiates with us,” Aitzol Ruiz (member of the strike committee) replied to questions from some media that, unlike other days, have decided to cover the event.
Two patrols of the Mossos Catalan Police waited outside while a crowd of curious people stopped, questioning and commenting. The police explained that they wouldn’t act during the opening hours of public offices occupied. At the door there is a sign where you can read that it closes for half day on Saturday afternoon.
The management of the company, however, has relaxed its stance tonight. Three members of the strike committee are finally sitting from 21h at a negotiating table with one of the managing directors of the multinational. Direct Action has worked!
