To Destroy Domination in All Its Forms: Anarcha-Feminist Theory, Organization and Action 1970-1978

As anarchists look for genealogies of principles and praxis in a variety of social movements, from the anarcho-pacifists who spoke out against World War II to anarchists who joined the Black Power movement, so too should they look for their feminist foremothers, not only in the early 20^th century anarchist movement but in the radical women’s movement of the 1970s.

Many radical feminists shared anarchist goals such as ending domination, hierarchy, capitalism, gender roles, and interpersonal violence, and utilized and influenced the key anarchist organizational structure of the small leaderless affinity group. They grappled with the questions of how to balance autonomy and egalitarianism and create nonhierarchical organizations that also promoted personal growth and leadership. In 1974 Lynne Farrow wrote, “Feminism practices what anarchism preaches.”

Make America Wait Again. That’s what Donald Trump’s energy policy amounts to. Stop all the clocks, put the technological revolution on hold, ensure that the transition from fossil fuels to clean power is delayed for as long as possible.

Trump is the president corporate Luddites have dreamt of; the man who will let them squeeze every last cent from their oil and coal reserves before they become worthless. They need him because science, technology and people’s demands for a safe and stable world have left them stranded. There is no fair fight that they can win, so their last hope lies with a government that will rig the competition. smog5

BREAKING FAKE NEWS: Mexico Agrees To Build Wall Due To Influx Of Illegal US Refugees

MEXICAN President Enrique Peña Nieto has confirmed today that a proposed plan to build a wall between the United States will now go ahead, in a bid to stem the flow of ‘American refugees’ currently attempting to migrate from the Trump-led nation.

Pena Nieto, who previously dismissed President Trump’s proposal to build a 35 to 40 foot concrete wall at the cost of $8bn to the Mexican taxpayer, made the dramatic U-turn yesterday afternoon, following reports of a large scale immigration of people wishing to leave the ‘land of the free’.

So far over 500,000 people are already queueing at various border controls along the current Mexican/US border, forcing the Mexican president to temporarily restrict access to non-Mexicans wishing to escape Donald Trump’s America.

“We’ve been queuing here since Friday,” one father of four told WWN, “we’ve been made stay in a refugee camp along with other Americans. All I want to do is find a better quality of life for my family. Now we’re stuck here in limbo”.

President Enrique Peña Nieto said he will continue the ban on all immigrants until the wall is built, and urged Americans not to waste their time attempting to cross the border without the appropriate documentation.

“Our borders are currently overwhelmed with overweight men, women and children from the United States of America,” he said, “we have no other choice but to close our borders and build this wall to help secure our country”.

Emergency pop-up McDonald’s restaurants have been erected along the border controls to help feed the starving refugees. The Mexican Navy reported it has saved several hundred people from drowning after trying to cross on makeshift rafts.

In a harrowing incident, one desperate family attempted to cross on their 400lb father, who later had to be sunk after the rescue as emergency crews failed to hoist him to the helicopter.

GIRLS RUN WORLD: A REPORT BACK FROM LOS ANGELES

Submitted to It’s Going Down…… LOOK, Los Angeles is getting a lot of attention for the 750,000 participants of the Women’s March. In all the reports there is not one mention that, for the last two days, breakaway marches have stormed DTLA. LA often gets passed over in report-backs that list things like these anti-Trump protests because politics here tend to be very localized and are not necessarily in a coded political framework. But folks in LA are lit and deeply tuned into the way speculative capital is destroying our city.

The first day was a march against the parade of nonprofits: forty organizations working together, from Code Pink to Union del Barrio to ANSWER. Though they gave many speeches their words rang hollow on a crowd that had heard it all before. It became obvious that the crowd wanted to have a march that was not in collaboration with the cops or the state. Some rowdy kids––queer, trans, black, brown, and white––grabbed the megaphone and announced that we should march. And so we did.
