RESISTING PRISONERS WILL START HUNGER STRIKE THIS MAY 1st
The distancing of prisons from cities and inhabited areas, the mental walls, the lack of conscience, the belief in a line between “the good guys” and the “bad guys” … we do not know what the reasons are, nor which of them has more strength so that we have reached this point, in which the people who are locked in the Penitentiary System, matter so little and generate this terrible lack of empathy outside.
We want to take out, for a moment, the voice of these people who are fighting. They themselves have written a proposal of collective struggle where they show “the situation in which we are systematically subjected to abuse of power, aggression, continued physical and mental torture, and inhuman and degrading conditions of existence in many aspects: medical-sanitary abandonment, labour exploitation, legal defenselessness, cultural discrimination, non-existent freedom of expression, etc. “
Faced with this situation; from within, from the incarcerated people, a proposal of Collective Hunger Strike has emerged to throw a ray of light on the normalized violence in prison, to reach “out”.
These are their demands:
1) The end of torture, agressions and cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment and the impunity of the priests in their practice in all the Spanish state prisons
2) The eradication of the ‘FIES’ ..the abrogation of this so-called “special regime” of punishment, and absolute closure of the isolation departments.
3) End of the dispersion of the prisoners.
4) That medical services are not attached to penitentiary institutions, but that they are independent of them.
5) The immediate application of articles 104.4 and 196 RP to all chronically ill patients without there being a requirement that they enter the terminal phase.
6) Regarding mental illnesses, we demand that they be treated appropriately in appropriate places and not in prisons.
7) That the “programs” with methadone, psychiatric treatments, etc. Be accompanied by support groups, therapists, etc. Independent of the IIPP.
8) That there be an opening of investigation, clarification and delimitation of responsibilities for the death of comrades in Spanish state prisons.
9) That the prison structures open their classrooms, workshops, gyms, etc. Formative and cultural access to prisoners who are treated as “unrecoverable”.
10) That ‘the modules of respect’ not be used as shop windows.
11) That the visiting families and friends not be intimately searched.
12) We demand from the courts, state security forces and various repressors do not criminalize solidarity between people.
The disinformation media will not provide coverage, we do not want it or need it, help us to make your voice resonate “outside”.

ESPAÑA: LXS PRESXS EN LUCHA COMENZARÁN HUELGA DE HAMBRE ESTE 1° DE MAYO
El distanciamiento de las prisiones de las ciudades y de zonas habitadas, los muros mentales, la falta de conciencia, la creencia de una línea entre “los buenos” y “los malos”…no sabemos cuáles son las razones, ni cuál de ellas tiene más fuerza para que hayamos llegado a este punto, en el que las personas que están encerradas en el Sistema Penitenciario, importen tan poco y generen esta terrible falta de empatía fuera.
Queremos sacar, por un instante, la voz de estas personas que están luchando. Ellas mismas han escrito una propuesta de lucha colectiva donde ponen de manifiesto “la situación a la que nos vemos sistemáticamente sometidas al abuso de poder, agresiones, torturas físicas y psíquicas continuadas, y a unas condiciones de existencia inhumanas y degradantes en multitud de aspectos: abandono médico-sanitario, explotación laboral, indefensión jurídica, discriminación cultural, inexistente libertad de expresión, etc”
Frente a esta situación; desde dentro, desde las personas encarceladas, ha surgido una propuesta de Huelga de Hambre Colectiva para arrojar un rayo de luz sobre las violencias normalizadas en prisión, para llegar a “fuera”. Éstas son sus reivindicaciones:
- El fin de las torturas, agresiones y tratos crueles, inhumanos y degradante y de la impunidad de lxs carcelerxs en su práctica en todas las cáceles del estado español
- La erradicación de los FIES, aboloción del llamado “régimen especial” de castigo, y cierre absoluto de los departamentos de aislmiento.
- Fin de la dispersión de lxs presxs.
- Que los servicios médicos no estén adscritos a Instituciones penitenciarias, si no que sean independientes de ellas.
- La aplicación inmediata de los artículos 104.4 y 196 RP a todos lxs enfermxs crónicxs sin que existan requerimiento de que entren en fase terminal.
- Respecto a lxs enfermxs mentales exigimos que se les trate adecuadamente en lugares apropiados para ello y no en las cárceles.
- Que los “programas” con metadona, tratamientos psiquiátricos, etc. Vayan acompañados de grupos de apoyo, terapeutas, etc. Independientes de las IIPP.
- Que haya apertura de investigación, esclarecimiento y delimitación de responsabilidades por lxs compañerxs muertxs en las cárceles de estado español.
- Que las estructuras carcelarias abran sus aulas, talleres, gimnasios, etc. Accesos formativos y culturales a lxs presxs que tratan de “irrecuperables”.
- Que los módulos de respeto no sean utilizados como escaparates.
- Que se deje de cachear integralmente a las familias y amistades visitantes.
- Exigimos a los juzgados, fuerzas de seguridad del estado y represorxs varixs que no criminalicen la solidaridad entre personas.
Los medios de desinformación no darán cobertura, tampoco la queremos ni la necesitamos, ayúdanos a que su voz resuene “fuera”.
