‘Erdogan’s terrorists ”Assassinating, Beheading, Stabbing and Planting Explosives’ in ‘Safe Zone’

Turkish ‘elected dictator’ Tayyip Erdogan said yet again on Saturday that he will order a military air and ground operation east of the Euphrates river in Syria.“We’ve made our preparations, we’ve made our operation plans, given the necessary instructions”, the politician said, adding that Turkey would launch the illegal genocidal invasion “as soon as today or tomorrow”.

But a Turkish backed mercenary group, Ahrar al-Shaab  ” has already infiltrated the area and is committing dozens of atrocities,  specializing in assassinations, beheadings, stabbings and the planting of explosive devices to ‘avenge attacks by the resistance in occupied Afrin’, focusing on border cities such as Serekaniye, Dirbesiye and Qamishlo in Erdogan’s ”Safe Zone”. (see below and HERE https://rojavainformationcenter.com/2019/09/database).

7 Oct 2019. Yesterdays massive protests against imminent illegal Turkish Invasion in Sere Kaniye/Ras al-Ayn border.

Erdogan is still being courted by both the US and Russia who see Turkey as strategic, he has defied with impunity the now embattled Trump on the S400 deal and on buying Iranian oil, and now demands permission to use Syrian air space to again bomb the Syrian people before invading.

Erdogan claimed he intends to settle 3.5m Syrian refugees in Turkey in the invaded area he calls a ”safe zone”…

But over and over he previously claimed he wants to expel the local Kurdish population. ”cleanse Rojava” and restore the Ottoman Empire and is proving his wish in ‘turkifying’ Afrin, so this new senseless invasion would be more ethnic cleansing and attempted genocide.

Serekaniye demonstration ‘Down with the occupation’ Syrian Kurds protest

Erdogan has gained much needed support (his AKP party lost Istanbul city council) by complaining often about the  3.5m Syrian refugees in Turkey, although they are less than 5% of the Turkish population in a huge area. Turkey has already received 6,000,000,000 euros by blackmailing EU taxpayers to support them.

Refugees used again as Human Blackmail by Erdogan to extract money and impunity for Rojava invasion

Meanwhile they are forced to work black for starvation wages, boosting the economy and forcing salaries down for everyone. (The over 3 million Syrian refugees in Turkey (actually a tiny minority in a population of 81 million compared with the IDP’s hosted in Rojava and formerly Afrin) are being cruelly exploited as virtual black slave labour while being subsidised with billions of euros by the EU taxpayer with continuous blatant blackmail threats to ” flood Europe” with them.)

And now he is using them as a ridiculous excuse for a new illegal invasion, this time in NE Syria. (The idea of ‘settling’ 2,000,000 refugees in an already occupied  rural semi desert region with no resources might appeal to Erdogan’s favourite historical figure: Adolf Hitler).

Lebanon for example has nearly half its population Syrian refugees and gets little aid or attention. Afrin, before the ongoing invasion by Turkey, had nearly doubled its population hosting a huge number of Arab, Christian, Assyrian and Turkmen refugees and was hailed as a  model of direct democracy, gender equality and religious and ethnic tolerance.

Despite a siege blockade the Afrin population nearly doubled (172k to 323k )  while Turkey’s has only increased by 4.4%  (3.5 million out of 80 million).  (The total population of Afrin as of 2005 was recorded at only 172,095 people Wikipedia.) The Turkish takeover has forced a mass exodus of refugees from Afrin amidst documented reports of mass murder, widespread looting , kidnapping, rape, a continuing guerilla war and pillage by the Turkish contracted Jihadi mercenaries and Turkish military.

Once invaded Turkey will NEVER LEAVE, and a guerilla war will continue indefinitely. For example, Turkey refuses to leave Nth Cyprus,  or its illegal bases in Iraq,or Afrin, Al Bab, Jarablus, Azaz.. or of course the Syrian province of Hatay, now 80 years invaded and ethnically cleansed.

Erdogan forced more than half Afrin’s population to flee and they still survive in tent camps, seizing their property and importing thousands of jihadi mercenaries, Al Qaeda ex ISIS guerillas, and sponsored the Al Qaesa mini state in Idlib….

…and now has the utter hypocrisy to complain about refugees and announce a new invasion ‘to settle them in a safe area’.

Defeated but defiant. Massacres  by Turkish troops and  the mercenaries of FSA  around Afrin  as the NATO tanks finally rolled in and the Afrin defense became a guerilla war..

It is not necessary either to set  up a ”safe zone”.   All Turkey has to do is pull out and stop the arms, cash and material supplies,  HTS in Idlib would have to surrender the Al Qaeda State, the war would quickly end and the refugees would surely flock home. “Arrest killer Erdogan, the Godfather of Jihadist Terrorists,..”

In principle any citizen can arrest a War Criminal and hand him over to the Law. In the case of Erdogan there exist 1000’s of pages of proof of his deep implication in the deaths of hundreds of thousands in Syria, along with an extensive series of heinous fascist crimes .. yet Russia, the EU and the US continue to bow to his blackmail to sell arms and gain regional power.

The Underground Free Women’s Movement (TJA) in Kurdish Turkey

After the Syrian Kurds’ fight for Kobane against ISIS in 2014-5, many across the world were suddenly made aware of the Kurdish women’s movement in Rojava, northern Syria. But it was already flourishing across the border in SE Turkey, where women joined in taking up the ideas of imprisoned Ocalan and  intense cultural and political change to a horizontal anti authoritarian way of life was in full swing.

All this was suppressed in Turkey with Erdogan’s police and military crackdown in his bid to demonize the Kurds in a racist bid for dictatorial power. To his fury the revolution has continued and blossomed  in liberated Rojava, with echoes in Europe and beyond, despite Turkish support for ISIS and Al Qaeda, the economic blockade and the 750km long wall.

Here we republish a great interview on the birth, growth and suppression of the Feminist movement in Kurdish Turkey (Nth Kurdistan).

Interview with the Free Women’s Movement (TJA) in North Kurdistan

“Actually we have been calling our experience World War III. This is a war of destruction. The state does not call it a war, but this is the experience of those affected.”

After the Syrian Kurds’ fight for Kobane (a Kurdish city in northern Syria/Rojava) against ISIS in 2014-5, many across the world were suddenly made aware of the Kurdish women’s movement.

What has not reached us, however, is a much wider context that enabled the Kurdish women-fighters to confidently take up arms to defend themselves and their people. The unprecedented accomplishments of the Kurdish women predated Kobane and the war in Syria.

They are rooted in the evolution of Turkey’s Kurdish liberation movement, as it is represented by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), and in the ideological shift of its leader, Abdullah Ocalan.

In what is regarded as a departure from the Marxist-Leninist perspective of national liberation, Ocalan developed a theory of democratic confederalism and democratic autonomy, making liberation of women into one of the central pillars of his struggle, alongside radical democracy and social ecology. The new ideology was first put into practice in Bakur (the Kurdish region in the southeast of Turkey) in the early 2000s and, despite continuing state oppression, the focus on and efforts towards women’s liberation within the movement brought visible results: a dramatic increase in women’s participation in the political and social life of the society, an evolution in their consciousness and the creation of various tools and spaces for their empowerment.

In Bakur, since the early 2000s, the Kurdish movement has been coordinating womens’ associations, women’s shelters, women’s local councils, cooperatives and academies, that have often functioned in cooperation with elected officials from the Kurdish parties in local government. Autonomous Responses to Hurricane Dorian

Donate to Mutual Aid Disaster Relief  HERE

By It’s Going Down    discussion-Dorian .. ..In the past week, Hurricane Dorian has devastated the Bahamas, leaving close to 20% of the population homeless and lashed the Eastern Seaboard. Compounding the disaster is Trump’s racist attacks on refugees combined with the fact that many in the Southeast and in Puerto Rico are still recovering from previous hurricanes.

In the face of Dorian, Mutual Aid Disaster Relief and wider anarchist and autonomist networks have mobilized a web of autonomous hubs and supply chains, which are funneling medical supplies, food, and toiletries into impacted regions, including the Bahamas.

Wanting to know more, we recently spoke with several people participating in autonomous disaster relief efforts (note, this interview is edited, and includes the voices of multiple individuals) about how the network of autonomous hubs and supply chains are functioning and how they might be utilized in other struggles and situations.

IGD: What was the idea behind building a network of hubs and supply chains?

We reflected on past experiences responding to disasters and realized that we helped foster community and contributed to people’s survival and self determination in impacted areas. And this, for good reason, has been our focus.

“The level of coordination is the best I’ve seen yet.”

Meanwhile, supply drives in other communities took place, but were sometimes haphazard or invisible and not cultivated as much as they could have been. This is an effort to be more intentional about strengthening bonds across the regional networks and encouraging people to self-organize around collecting needed supplies in their own locales, even if their community is removed from the zone of impact.
