If you get caught collecting photons of sunlight for your own use you can get a fine not exceeding 30 million euros What the hell is going on in Spain? This is one of 100’s of crazy, often neo-fascist measures by a govt with a total majority (by default) yet drowning in corruption scandals and huge popular resistance. They’ve already decimated the promising renewable energy sector by taxes and cutting out promised subsidies, while keeping them on coal, oil and fracking. What the hell? Why? For one thing the fossil fuel sector has huge scandals, its a honey pot, eg. they’re raising prices to pay billions for estimated losses due to modernisation; for 40 years electric meters grossly overcharged the public; gas purchase prices are totally secret and pegged to projected oil levels… Billions go missing, the PP (ruling party) treasurer was found to have 40m euros, just in his swiss accounts. Rampant pay offs have continued unabated from the fascist era. Indicted politicians ( there are over 1000) stood again and got re-elected. Every day the demos are getting bigger, pickets become gigantic and merge into marches and rioting.
It’s not just a case of changing Prime Minister, half the government are implicated in mass bribery. If Rajoy goes others and the maybe the whole government will fall.
Then the ‘Troika’ program of closing all public services, schools, hospitals, pensions.. plus 500 mortgage evictions a day and general unemployment.. may grind to an halt.

Fossil Fools to be sued for 7 million Poison Air pollution Deaths a year?
Outdoor air pollution causes more than seven million deaths each year, according to a 2014 World Health Organisation study – the equivalent of more than 2 Chernobyl disasters annually, with over 10 times that number of us suffering chronic health problems from poisoned air.
It calculated that, each year, at least a million people died as a result of ozone and over 5 million deaths can be linked to fine particulate matter. Air pollution increased respiratory and heart disease risks, with the young, elderly and infirm most vulnerable.
The findings of an earlier study appear in the Environmental Research Letters journal.
Since the Industrial Revolution unscrupulous capitalists have knowingly exposed the public to deadly air pollution to increase their profits, knowing that it’s practically impossible to prove they cause the slow agonizing deaths.
But not any more!
