But in Afrin, when Syrian pro-govt forces entered in Afrin they were hit by Turkey and lot of them suffered casualties. Without Russian air cover, the SAA + NDF etc cannot stop Turkey. Moscow said at that time they wont be involved and effectively gave Afrin to Turkey to ”cleanse” and destroy. Will Russia do the same again?

Hevrin Khalaf was the co-head of the Future Party. She was killed in cold blood with 8 others, taken from their cars and murdered by Turkish mercenaries.. Her party was created on advice of the US to create better ties with Turkey.

Unless Russia enforces an Air Exclusion Zone (which the US refused to do) the massacres and ethnic cleansing will continue.

Coalition contact confirms SDF have made a deal with the Syrian government. The last few days have been brutal. Mazloum met with the Russians.

PKK Executive Committee: National unity and joint struggle are the keys for Kurds not to lose what they have achieved and to get new achievements. If every Kurdish gain is to be preserved, this will be possible with the level, power and national unity of the struggle carried out in all parts. Heavy clashes in Serêkaniyê

Heavy clashes are going on in Serêkaniyê since last night. SDF fighters are carrying out a great resistance and have foiled attempts by the Turkish forces and its mercenaries to enter the city.

The invading forces attempted to enter the city from the east and north, but all their attempts were foiled. There are many dead and wounded. Aircraft and howitzer attacks have continued uninterruptedly since last night. Yesterday, 2 tanks was destroyed in the clashes. 27 invading forces soldiersare reported killed.

Costa Rica Doubles Forests/Going Carbon Neutral/ But has a million in poverty..

Costa Rica is one of the few States that can boast of being nearly ‘Carbon Neutral’, conserving 25% and doubling its forest. But it’s still a capitalist top-down State, dominated by US capital and being rapidly bought up cheap for nearly tax free US holiday homes. Over 20% of people survive in severe poverty while millions of tourists arrive by plane and Cruise Liners, spewing uncounted CO2. You can even take a Tourist Tour of the slums to photograph the ‘happy smiling beggars’.(7 Shocking Facts About Costa Rica’s Poverty Rate).

Of course we must follow Costa Rica’s amazing ecological gains, but without forgetting it’s a small exceptional place (4.5m people) and to solve Climate and ecological breakdown the whole system of Infinite Growth must change.

The so-called Payments for Environmental Services (PES) are serving to recognize that healthy ecosystems generate benefits and that they must pay for them (carbon sequestration, water filtration, maintenance of quality aquifers and air, provision of food and medicines, etc. .).

 

When these environmental processes are free, people have no incentives to conserve them. Free is not valued. In rural areas, PES have also served to reduce poverty.

The SDF coalition of militias, of Rojava/Autonomous Administration(AA) though 70,000 strong, are facing a giant 639,551.[8] strong modern NATO army , led by an openly fascist, racist, misogynist and mass murdering expansionist regime, as being illustrated daily  in Afrin,  which in principle should destroy them in days.

The SDF has very few armoured vehicles, tanks or heavy artillery and of course no air force at all, while Turkey is the second biggest NATO force with tens of thousands, now poised to take over Rojava and northern Syria.

21:41 10 Oct 19:Fighting resumes between Manbij Military Council fighters and the occupation forces in Ceblê, Hemra, Til Torîn and Boxaz villages of Manbij that were attacked with heavy weapons. Manbij Military Council fighters are retaliating in kind.

Most of Turkey’s weapons are US, and there are no restrictions, so in replacements the US, and personally Donald Trump, stand to gain a bonanza from a genocidal massacre they permitted, and could have prevented with just 1000 of their million strong military.

The SDF should therefore probably go for a guerilla resistance from the beginning, as any set battles in the open countryside could be suicidal. However this is do or die for them, and for their amazing human revolution. Everything else has been tried. There is no other choice but total resistance.

Another tactic then may be to extend the battlefield, on all levels.. all the long border, in Afrin, in Iraq, in Iran and across Europe and the world, with all, including me and hopefully you, resisting at their own level.

International reactions have been almost unanimous but not concrete. Only Qatar and  Spain have supported Erdogan with their aggression. The USA has remained erratic.
