Florence, Italy: Anarchists invite Public to Occupy a new Adventure

Better in a Tent.. Speculation, Gentrification and mass tourism make finding a living space an impossible task.

We decided to occupy one of the many abandoned buildings in the city of Florence to make a place for socializing and sharing, to organize debates, presentations and concerts, to make room for those of us who need a place to be and do activities, to address the social disintegration and lack of opportunity that this city offers us

Florence is run by political powers and local councils for profit and is increasingly distant from the needs of the inhabitants. It is now the practice to sell everything:  the health of citizens, the right to exist of migrants and refugees of war, the dignity of those who have no home, the right to education, the lives of many working men and women.florence-occuipation-2016

The demagogic schemes of the government continue to mystify reality; spreading the culture of resignation, of individualism and conformity, as well as denying the possibility of a social transformation and the creation of a different world.

For these reasons we reclaim spaces and revive them, experimenting with forms of  social and horizontal self-organized centers, is one way to begin to build an alternative society, which does not require an authority and institutions to which we delegate the organization of our existence. Many more Prison Strike Solidarity Actions

aboliosh-prison-slaveryNYC ANARCHIST ACTION: PRISON STRIKE SOLIDARITY ACTION

Submitted to It’s Going Down

The September 9th national prison strike has forged a new potentially decisive link between the black liberation struggle in the streets and the war against the American plantation system inside the penitentiaries.

Prisoners have now launched themselves to the forefront of the struggle, setting a new bar for those of us outside.

The growing rejection of the American plantation system and the call for abolition is gaining strength.

As the prison strike is about to enter its second month, the censorship of the prison rebellion and suppression of its participants has reached a critical juncture. At least three deaths have occurred and organizers are facing extreme repression. Kinetik Justice, a key organizer in Holman Prison, has gone on a hunger strike after being shipped to a new, even more barbaric unit.

At this moment, outside support becomes vital for bridging the muting division of the prison wall.prison-strike

Prison organizer Keith Malik Washington incisively noted the following about the punishments doled out for participation in the prison strike: “There are elements and individuals within the Texas criminal justice system that don’t want to acknowledge the humanity of prisoners.

Incarcerated Alabama prison strike leader goes on hunger strike as advocate decries ‘human torture’

Alabama prisoner Robert Earl Council – known by many as Kinetic Justice – has launched a hunger strike less than two months after he gained a level of fame as a public face of the national movement…

Many of us in NYC Anarchist Action see this period as a vital situation in a chain of activities necessary for revolutionary momentum in the United States.

The slave plantation mentality is deeply embedded in the hearts and minds of the oppressor and the oppressed.” Continue reading “Many more Prison Strike Solidarity Actions”

Turkish State Closes and Bans the World’s only Feminist News Agency: JINHA

jinha-banned-in-turkeymacho dictator abolishes and seals the only feminist news agency

Jinha News Agency continues on Twitter, although the Internet is also closed down for millions of  Kurds in 11  cities.

Women: ‘JINHA cannot be silenced, long live women’s solidarity!’ http://jinhaber.link/en/ALL-NEWS/content/view/67660 …

JINHA News Offices have been closed down and sealed this morning by the police of the conservative Islamist regime of R. T. Erdogan. The news agency offered written and audiovisual content about women in general and globally.
Its closure is a victory for machismo that wants women invisible, his voice and his worldview. The last few remaining Kurdish media including Women only news agency JINHA & DIHA, Azadiya Welat were closed with new statutory decrees in Turkey.

‘Women’s resistance has begun’ http://jinhaber.link/en/ALL-NEWS/content/view/67556 …

With JINHA, the Turkish government has closed a dozen newspapers, publications and six Kurdish news agency Dihao.

Erdogan succeeded in his coup of July 15, and now closes the media.

Not only that, yesterday 1,267 more Turkish academic teaching staff were sacked. And, as always, a huge silence, bitter and infinite, from world public opinion, and especially its institutions. This is  impunity.

BREAKING: Turkish government shuts pro-Kurdish/opposition 10 newspapers, 3 magazines & major Kurdish agencies #DİHA/#JİNHA under decree-law

1000s of unaccompanied refugee children still in Europe, a new “KinderTransport” is needed

Undercover1's avatarUndercoverInfo

Großbritannien: Kinder polnischer Juden aus dem Gebiet zwischen Deutschland und Polen bei Ihrer Ankunft mit der "Warschau" in London. Aufn. Februar 1939 Unaccompanied refugee Jewish children arriving London, February 1939

There are around 1500 unaccompanied refugee children still in Calais, due to what can only be drscribed as the bureaucratic incompetence of the French and British governments. Now the daughter of Sir Nicholas Winton, who died in 2015 and who organised the famous Kindertransport in 1939 to save hundreds of Jewish children from the Nazi concentration camps, has appealed for a similar initiative to rescue those children still stuck in the French port. But there are tens of thousands more unaccompanied refugee children scattered across Europe. Allowing this crisis to worsen is nothing else but a crime of mega proportions.

In an open letter sent to Home Secretary Amber Rudd, Barbara Winton says:

Those who have travelled across Europe to Calais, to escape the life-threatening dangers of their home country, are hoping desperately to find the sanctuary their parents dared…

Turkish Bombers Excluded from Syria after massacring Kurds and Democratic forces (SDF)

Pro-jihadist Turkey can’t conduct airstrikes against Kurds in Syria anymoreturkey-blocked-from-syria-bombing

info from AL-BAB (Kurdish daily News) – Since Oct 22 Turkey’s Air Forces are blocked from continuing their aerial campaigns in Syria as part of their Euphrates Shield operation, as Syria has activated its  S-200 (and possibly S-300) air defense systems against the bombing by Turkish warplanes in Syrian airspace.

The Turkish Air Forces launched their last air-strike in Syria on Oct. 22, on positions of Kurdish YPG/YPJ forces, which are a big part of the SDF, a fast growing democratic, non-ethnic, non religious, anti-sexist grouping which has partial US support.
The Turkish military confirmed its warplanes had carried out 26 strikes on areas recently taken by the Kurdish YPG militia , the strongest force in the SDF. from ISIS. Continue reading “Turkish Bombers Excluded from Syria after massacring Kurds and Democratic forces (SDF)”

EQUIPMENT TORCHED, BARRICADES BURNED IN ND AS #NODAPL SOLIDARITY PROTESTS SPREAD

Solidarity actions are springing up around the country in response to the massive police raid on the “frontlines” camp in Standing Rock against the Dakota Access Pipeline. The eviction saw hundreds of militarized police attack the encampment with armored vehicles, tasers, pepper spray, concussion grenades, LRADS, and good old fashioned bone crushing batons.

Buffalo arrive at Standing Rock during showdown with authorities.

In response warriors set up burning barricades, threw rocks, torched several large pieces of pipeline machinery and 2 security vehicles, and briefly invaded an active construction site. The Sheriff is also claiming that molotovs were thrown at police and that there were two incidents involving gunfire. At least one burning barricade was maintained through the night. While the frontlines camp has been evicted, the main encampments are still going strong and asking for supporters to join them.
