The head of the Russian National Center for Defense Management, Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev, stated on Saturday that the humanitarian situation in Ukraine is rapidly deteriorating, and has already reached “catastrophic” levels in some cities.

El jefe del Centro Nacional de Gestión de Defensa ruso, el coronel general Mijaíl Mizíntsev, declaró este sábado que la situación humanitaria en Ucrania se está deteriorando rápidamente, y que ya ha alcanzado niveles «catastróficos» en algunas ciudades.
De acuerdo con sus palabras, los ultranacionalistas colocan minas en barrios poblados y destruyen instalaciones de servicios públicos esenciales y, como resultado de las acciones de las autoridades ucranianas, «la población civil se ve obligada a sobrevivir en condiciones inhumanas: sin calefacción, electricidad, abastecimiento de agua, alimentos y medicamentos».

Desde Defensa informaron que en total más de 6.900 ciudadanos de 16 países (Azerbaiyán, Georgia, Egipto, Grecia, la India, Jamaica, Líbano, Filipinas, Siria, Turquía, entre otros) «siguen siendo rehenes de los neonazis ucranianos como ‘escudos humanos’, al igual que las tripulaciones de más de 50 buques extranjeros, que están bloqueados en los puertos marítimos en relación con la gran amenaza de minas en el mar de Azov y el mar Negro creada por Ucrania en violación del derecho internacional humanitario«.
Asimismo, señaló que las autoridades ucranianas siguen «afirmando cínicamente que no hay civiles ni extranjeros que deseen salir hacia el territorio de Rusia«. «El aumento diario del número de llamamientos recibidos a través de diversos canales de comunicación de ciudadanos ucranianos y extranjeros con solicitudes de evacuación sugiere lo contrario«, dijo, agregando que Defensa recibió más de 2,6 millones de peticiones de evacuación del territorio de Ucrania.

Donbass news. Russian and DPR advance slowed. from Sth Front
According to the reports of the DPR officials, 26 civilians have been killed and 167 others were wounded since the intensification of hostilities in the Donbass region.
(At least 60,000 people were evacuated from Donbass to Russia bef0re the war began. The huge UAF force remains just to the north of the Donbass front line, shelling but not invading, Russian and Donbass forces are attempting to surround them.)
The AFU continue to destroy bridges in order to slow down the advance of the Russian troops and their allies. On March the destruction of bridges in the villages of Pavlovka and Perechistovka was reported.
The use of phosphorous ammunition by the Ukrainian military in the city of Popasnaya was reported by local sources. However, these claims are yet to be confirmed. Such weapons are prohibited by the Geneva Convention.
In the South, the situation in Mariupol remains tense. No mass evacuation of civilians from the city has been carried out so far.
Russian and DPR forces continue the mop up operations from all the directions. The DPR units have reportedly secured their positions in the eastern outskirts of Mariupol, on the Azovstal Street,
The DPR PM reported that on March 12, 8 firing points and 1 militant stronghold have been destroyed. 3 modernized T-64 BV tanks and 1 BMP were captured. 5 servicemen of the 36th Marine Brigade of the AFU laid down their weapons.
25 civilians, including 7 children, were evacuated from the liberated houses.
The Russian Defence Ministry reported that Ukrainian nationalist forces besieged in Mariupol carried out a looting raid on residential buildings in Mariupol, shooting resisting citizens. Ukrainian forces are now suffering from lack of sources, including petrol. Robbing civilians is their last chance.
