Turkey’s latest threat:  Give us safe zone or we send refugees to EU   …Erdogan threatens: “… we will have to open the gates [to Europe].Either you support us or no one should feel sorry. We would like to host 1 million refugees in the safe zone.”

So Europe is being blackmailed to help this OPENLY fascist invader extend  his empire in Syria and to wipe out the local Kurdish people an their democratic, non sectarian, anti racist, feminist revolution ..ETC..

In the last weeks the rate of refugees arriving in Greece has been shooting up, as Erdogan cynically allowed more people to escape, before cashing in on EU euros and political ignoring, if not actually aiding, his nazi invasion plans.

Aug 30 2019 Greece’s Lesvos receives largest single-day refugee arrival since 2015-2016 Some 547 migrants arrived Greece’s eastern Aegean island of Lesvos on Thursday in thirteen boats that set sail from the Turkish coast, marking the largest number of arrivals in a single day since the peak of a refugee crisis. Some 177 were men, 124 were women and 246 were children

So the craven EU politicians cave in and give him (indirectly) billions more public money for fear of losing their jobs and power to the racist right wing being fanned…

The European Commission on July 19 2019 adopted a new set of assistance measures worth €1.41 billion (nearly $1.6 billion), ensuring EU support to refugees and host communities in Turkey.   This ups the total to over 6 billion euros.  And this was before Erdogan’s latest human blackmail threats!

As well as receiving 6 billion euros to its economy (the cash goes directly to the refugees) there have been a long series of  scandals alleging the slave labour exploitation in Turkey of defenseless Syrian refugee families who despite working could starve without the EU aid. The EU should spend the 6 billion euros of public money  not on Turkish blackmailers but on helping refugees return and rebuild their lives in Syria.

This gives the Turkish business class a third big boost in cheaper production , increasing profits for the rich while forcing down wages for many other workers with the threat of cheaper refugee labour. Labour is cheap, refugee labour is dirt cheap in Turkey

Refugees are being used again as Human Blackmail by Erdogan to extract money and impunity for Rojava invasion

So Turkey is getting  paid three times over for its mere 5% of refugees, while squeezing more money, support and impunity for its empire building from its EU neighbours with blatant human blackmail  . New campaign “#riseup4rojava – Smash Turkish fascism!”

#RiseUp4Rojava: From Global Action Days to an worldwide campaign against Turkish fascism.

On January 27 and 28 the Global Days of Actions, activists in more than 60 locations in over 20 countries demonstrated against the looming attacks by the Turkish state against the Rojava revolution

. The activists not only denounced the imperialist policy of Erdogan regime, but also made clear which companies benefit from the war.

They protested in front of various arms companies such as BAE Systems in London, Rheinmetall in Austria and Germany, and financial institutions such as CreditSuisse in Switzerland.

Lentillères Free District: Occupied Urban Gardens Grow Community ZAD

Starting with a protest in the center of Dijon, France, in the midst of a chilly day in 2010, about 150 people embarked for an abandoned lot, cleaned it up, occupied the area, and formed the Lentillères (lentil garden).

Family farms produce 80 percent of world’s food …Only 1 percent of the world’s farms are larger than 50 hectares, but this small group controls 65 percent of the world’s agricultural land, the FAO report said. Farms smaller than one hectare account for 72 percent of all farms, but control only 8 percent of agricultural land

Eight years later, the urban gardens of the Lentillères encompasses a free zone of over nine hectares that is, by its existence, resisting against development projects while demonstrating “another way of being that [is] non-hierarchical and egalitarian and free.”

Dijon, the capital of France’s Golden Coast in the Burgundy region famous for wine and monasteries, is an area rich in history and home to 250,000 people. Presenters said that politicians and developers utilize the history to attract investment. The municipality has been busy with plans to modernize Dijon by building new streets, shopping centers, and installing thousands of CCTV cameras. Developers in Dijon now plan to build 15 new housing projects in what they call ‘eco-quarters’ by 2020.

Recent history of anarcho-punk culture from 1980s-90s is also embedded in the city. Massive “anarcho-fun gigs” in the squatted industrial wastelands of Dijon took place in efforts to reclaim space from capitalism.

The more accepting culture of squatting and land defense in France helped lead to the local, socialist-run government of Dijon essentially allowing anti-capitalists and anarchists to take the space they desired with no problems, the presenters said.

ŞIRNEX/MÊRDÎN – Siege and onslaught have continued in . As state forces have attacked the people’s homes in Şırnak, intense explosions have occurred in Nusaybin.

Martial law under the name of “curfew” has entered in the ninth day in the Nusaybin district of Mardin. State forces have continued to attack the neighborhoods with mortar fire and artillery. A fire broke out in a house in the Fırat neighborhood after a shell hit the house. State forces haven’t stopped the fire brigade crew from entering the neighborhood. Smoke rises from the neighborhood.
