El proper dissabte 1 de desembre sortirem als carrers en defensa de l’okupació. Davant la repressió i l’onada de desallotjaments no reculem, al contrari, fem un pas endavant.

Difusió i acció!

L’okupació de llocs abandonats per a l’autogestió de les nostres vides és una realitat des de fa més de dues dècades a Barcelona. Així s’ha donat resposta a la necessitat d’espais socials i a la manca d’habitatge accessible a les ciutats.

En el darrer any, i com d’altres vegades, estem vivint una onada de repressió dels nostres projectes: Centres Socials Okupats com La Clandestina, la REA, l’Ateneu la Pua… i habitatges com Ca La Trava, el Kubo, la Kantonada, Montmany 3… han estat desallotjats.

El Banc Expropiat, Kan Kolmo, l’Àsgora Juan Andrñes, La Protestona, La Teixidora, Puntales, La Llamborda, Kasablanka… es troben sota amenaça de desallotjament.

D’ençà 2015 hi ha hagut canvis en les lleis de l’estat espanyol: l’aprovació de la llei mordassa, les reformes del codi penal, la llei d’enjudiciament civil i l’administrativa. Aquestes afecten directa o indirectament a l’okupació i a la possibilitat de romandre al lloc on vius i defensar-te.

D’altra banda, s’han extès els desallotjaments extrajudicials i la contractació d’empreses de matons – com Desokupa- per part de propietaris que, amb la complicitat dels cossos de seguretat, mossos i urbana, desallotgen espais amb mètodes intimidatoris.

Sota aquest panorama no hem de desatendre el ressorgiment del feixisme, especialment als barris perifèrics.

Hem vist com la repressió s’intensifica. Han incrementat els efectius policials i el seu arsenal, el control social és cada cop més sofisticat, i els carrers i places han estat presos pels uniformats i armats defensors de la llei i l’ordre.

Tot i la xerrameca institucional de “l’ajuntament del canvi” a la ciutat cada cop hi ha més desigualtats de poder i econòmiques i accedir a un habitatge és tota una gesta.

Els barris es posen en mans de promotors immobiliaris que especulen gràcies a l’increment del turisme i la gentrificació, mentre els bancs s’enriqueixen i són protegits pel poder judicial.

Alhora, aquest ajuntament ha provat d’assimilar alguns projectes okupats, cooptant-los, comprant-los, fet que debilita i controla la capactitat de resposta davant la repressió.

 

El sistema segueix defensant als hereus de la terra i criminalitzant a les desheretades. No només a Barcelona, on la voracitat de la metròpoli intensifica els processos.

Tenim molt presents projectes d’okupació rural, que aposten per reconstruir pobles abandonats o donar-li vida a noves terres on viure-hi de forma autogestionada.

En la seva mera existència suposen una amenaça pel model capitalista i són colpejats des d’instàncies judicials, policials i polítiques -com va quedar palès amb la sentència judicial al poble okupat de Fraguas-.

Sabem que aquesta és l’estructura actual i no ens en sentim víctimes perquè no volem delegar la nostra vida en ella. Creiem en el poder que tenim quan ens organitzem contra i al marge del capitalisme i les jerarquies.

Creiem en l’acció directa i no l’acció mediada pels polítics professionals. Aquests formen part d’elits que monopolitzen el paper d’intermediàries entre les nostres vides i les nostres necessitats, les quals ni les coneixen ni els importen.

L’okupació és una eina que ens permet autoorganitzar-nos per donar resposta d’una manera horitzontal a les nostres problemàtiques. Necessitem casa, la prenem; necessitem un local per activitats socials, l’habilitem; necessitem coneixements, ens formem…

Perquè l’okupació té una força tremenda: com a element de transformació de les relacions socials, com a espai d’intervenció i dinamització política local i com a eina d’oposició als processos especulatius… i a tot allò que ens oprimeix.

A Barcelona, paral·lelament a les okupacions, sempre hi ha hagut espais legals o més estables amb els quals es comparteixen valors o practiques, aquells que allotgen una editorial o una ràdio, un espai de salut o criança, un taller artesanal o una cooperativa…

De la mateixa manera, els CSO’s de la ciutat són espais on s’han teixit moltes altres lluites socials, com la lluita obrera, el transfeminisme, l’ecologisme, les lluites indígenes, de les persones preses…

Davant de la repressió judicial i policial i la manipulació mediàtica, enfortim les aliances i les xarxes de suport mutu basades en la solidaritat. Davant dels desallotjaments, sentim la necessitat de sortir al carrer, trobar-nos, expressar la ràbia i senyalar els responsables.

Enfrontem les immobiliàries, els bancs, les administracions, els propietaris que especulen amb els habitatges. Les cases estan per habitar-les.

Ens veiem als carrers.

The occupation of abandoned sites for self-management of our lives has been a reality for more than two decades in Barcelona.

This was our response to the need for social spaces and the lack of accessible housing in the cities. In the last year, and like other times, we are experiencing a wave of repression of our projects: ccupied Social Centers such as La Clandestina, REA, Ateneu la Pua … and homes such as Ca La Trava, Kubo, Kantonada, Montmany 3 … have been evicted.

The Expropriated Bank, Kan Kolmo, Àgora Juan Andrñes, The Protestona, La Teixidora, Puntales, La Llamborda, and Kasablanka … are under threat of eviction.

Since 2015, there have been changes in the laws of Spain: the approval of the gag law, the reforms of the penal code, the law of civil and administrative prosecution. These affect directly or indirectly our occupations and the possibility of staying in the place where you live and defend yourself.

On the other hand, extrajudicial evictions and the hiring of thugs in companies – such as Desokupa – have been extended by owners who, with the complicity of the security, police and urban bodies, evict spaces with intimidatory methods.

As part of this scenario, we must not ignore the resurgence of fascism, especially in peripheral neighborhoods.

We have seen how repression intensifies. Police officers and their arsenal have increased, social control is increasingly sophisticated, and streets and squares have been taken by uniformed and armed defenders of law and order.

Despite the institutional talk of a “city council of change” in the city there are increasing inequalities of power and economy and access to housing is a near impossible feat. The neighborhoods have been put into the hands of real estate developers who speculate thanks to the increase in tourism and gentrification, while banks are enriched and protected by the judiciary.

At the same time, this city council has tried to assimilate some active occupation projects, co-operating, buying them, which weakens and controls our capacity to respond to repression.

The system continues to defend the heirs of the earth and criminalize the neglected. Not only in Barcelona, ​​where the voracity of the metropolis intensifies the processes.

We are very conscious of the projects of rural occupation, which attempt to reconstruct abandoned villages and give new life to the earth while living in a  self-managed way.

By their mere existence they pose a threat to the capitalist model and so they are attacked by judicial, police and political entities, as was apparent from the judicial ruling in the occupied village of Fraguas.

We know that this is the current structure and we do not feel victims because we do not want to delegate our lives to it. We believe in the power we have when we organize ourselves against and outside capitalism and hierarchies.

We believe in direct action and not action mediated by professional politicians. These are elites that monopolize the role of intermediaries between our lives and our needs, which they neither know nor care about.

Occupation is a tool that allows us to organize ourselves to respond horizontally to our problems. We need a house, we take it; we need a place for social activities, we enable it; We need knowledge, we train …

Because occupation has tremendous strength: as an element of transformation of social relations, as a space for intervention and local political dynamization and as a tool against speculative processes … and everything that hurts us.

In Barcelona, ​​in parallel with occupations, there have always been legal or more stable spaces with which values ​​or practices are shared, those that house an editorial or a radio, a health or kids space, an artisan workshop or a cooperative … 

In the same way, the CSO’s (Occupied Social Centres) in the city are spaces where many other social struggles have been woven, such as workers’ resistance, transfeminism, ecology, indigenous struggles, imprisoned people …

Faced with judicial and police repression and media manipulation, we strengthen the alliances and networks of mutual support based on solidarity.

In the face of evictions, we feel the need to go out, find ourselves, express anger and indicate those responsible. 

We confront the real estate, the banks, the administrations, the owners who speculate with property. The houses are for living in.
