On February 10 the U.S. Naval Institute website published a report that four more Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyers had been sent to the Mediterranean Sea. The deployment, in addition to four (and soon to be six) of the warships permanently rotated out of the Naval Station Rota in Spain, was described by a Navy spokesman as designed to allow them to “participate in a range of maritime activities in support of the U.S. 6th Fleet and our NATO allies.”

The four ships, USS Donald Cook, USS Gonzalez, USS Mitscher and USS The Sullivans, joined their counterparts USS Arleigh Burke, USS Porter, USS Roosevelt, USS Ross and the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group operating in the Mediterranean Sea already.

In the event of war caused by a NATO attack on Ukraine, the Black Sea or Latvia, Russia will have to destroy, in a matter of minutes, first Spain as a base for the anti ballistic missiles that its original nuclear arsenal awakens.

Since February 2014, the naval base in Rota (Cádiz) has housed four US destroyers as part of the NATO anti-missile shield. And now, the “USS Arleigh Burke” is deployed at the Cadiz base, which is the most technologically advanced destroyer of the US Naval Forces deployed in Europe.

Upon his arrival at the Cadiz base, Vice Admiral Gene Black, commander of the Sixth Fleet (in which the “Arleigh Burke” will be framed), assured that “it is an honor that this powerful warship, with its recently improved capabilities, join our destroyer squad in Spain ”.

Spain is now a first Target for Nuclear Annihilation as the Base of the 4 most advanced Ballistic Missile Destroyers in the US

Spain will send the Blas de Lezo frigate to the Black Sea , while the Meteoro minehunter left two days ago, a shipment that arrives amid boiling tension with Russia manufactured by US agression after losing its Afghan moneyspinner.

España envía dos buques al Mar Negro en plena crisis por Ucrania

Robles, in statements to the media referred to the anti Russia campaign and openly backed the US and NATO (apart from Germany) in arming the Ukrainian nazi regime on Russia’s border which is attacking the Donbass enclave of Russian speakers and citizens. Robles endorsed ”any state’s right to join NATO”. Ukraine is a few minutes from Moscow by nuclear missile.

Everyone knows Russia doesn’t want to invade Ukraine. The lunatic US game is to provoke a war by any means necessary, using its NATO proxies as cannon…

The destructive scheme to expand Bristol Airport has been given the green light by inspectors. Following a public inquiry from July to October last year, inspectors yesterday (February 2) returned a long-awaited verdict in favour of the airport’s appeal against an earlier decision by North Somerset Council to deny planning permission.

The expansion raises Bristol Airport’s passenger cap from 10 million per year to 12 million, allows thousands of extra flights, including night flights, and permits expansion of the terminal building and a new multi-storey car park on Green Belt land. .

Since its announcement in 2018, the expansion plan has been resisted by local residents and campaign groups, culminating in the decision by North Somerset Council to refuse planning permission in January 2020.

Large majorities of people have objected across two public consultations on the issue and Bristol CIty Council, Bath and North East Somerset Council and the West of England Combined Authority (WECA) all objected to the plans.

After the result was announced, campaign group Bristol Airport Action Network tweeted: ‘Naturally we are all outraged by this news & will be posting an official response once the full decision has been analysed. Love to all who opposed this unwanted appeal. We will not give up!’

Meanwhile, WECA mayor Dan Norris tweeted: ‘Deeply dismayed by decision on Bristol Airport. Govt’s lack of policy on UK airport expansion resulted in inspectors ignoring voices of local people & resolution of the West of England Combined Authority’

The public inquiry, which lasted 36 days last year, saw solicitors for the airport argue their case before three government-appointed planning inspectors. Against them were an array of opponents including North Somerset Council, the local Parish Council association, and grassroots campaign groups like Bristol Airport Action Network.
