STOP the Uranium Mine: Demo/Mani 26 Nov. en Salamanca

No to the uranium mine, yes to life   ..No a la mina de uranio, sí a la vida
by  José Ramón Barrueco          A company of Australian origin, Berkeley Minera España SL, intends to open several open-cast uranium mines in the province of Salamanca, 40 hectares of a holm oak grove in perfect state of preservation have already been destroyed. The extracted uranium ore would be treated in a concentrates plant in the town of Retortillo, which is also the mining project most developed by the company Berkeley.

The majority of the inhabitants of the area oppose the planned mines due to the negative effects that this activity will entail for the region: explosions with expulsion of radioactive dust into the atmosphere  thec(negative effect of radon gas), tyhe continuous transfer of trucks and heavy machinery, loss of forest, diversion of water courses, etc.

In spite of the neighborhood opposition, the different administrations involved have given their approval to the development of uranium mining in Salamanca. In the case of Retortillo, the actions of the local council have been shameful, preventing a popular referendum that the mayor (of the PSOE) wanted from the polls in the 2015 elections and his replacement  by a party member favorable to the interests of the mining company. La coordinación de las ocupaciones de refugiados (City Plaza, Notara 26, Oniro, Spyrou Trikoupi, Arahovis, 5ª escuela, Jasmine School, Acharnon 22) pidió el día internacional de acción “Manos fuera de todos los squats#HandsOffAll Squats!…

En la convocatoria, los activistas exigen que se parar los desalojos, cerrar los campamentos y los centros de detención, cancelar el vergonzoso acuerdo UE-Turquía, abrir las fronteras y declararon que “no se puede desalojar un movimiento”.berlin23j

En el último año, la represión contra los refugiados y los partidarios ha aumentado con los desalojos, los arrestos y la violencia policial en varios estados miembros de la UE. Algunas de las ocupaciones donde los refugiados vivían de manera auto-organizada fueron desalojadas, por ejemplo en Thessaloniki, Athens and Belgrade. Solidarity and support for the companions of the newly squatting space La Ingobernable (Valencia)Posted on 2017/05/02 by   from La Rebelión de las Palabras  The Rebellion of WordsI receive in the email and I spread the following statement of the compas who are squatting the space of La Ingobernable, a new space of struggle and meeting open at the University of Valencia, squatting for a week and opened yesterday.

The assembly of the liberated space The Ungovernable communicates that after a week of squatting, and to make public this May 1st, the university has responded decisively, increasing private security (in collaboration with local and national police) until leaving us in a State of siege. This means that no person can leave or enter the building, not allowing us to provide any basic supplies such as water and food.

This is a space that the University abandoned its fate for more than 5 years, under the pretext that it was disabled and was a risk to its occupants. Not long ago the Goerlich foundation of architects denied this version, declaring that the space is in perfect condition to be used and reopened again.Image result for la ingobernable, valencia

Maddy va a la Carcel por no Chivarse de l*s #Anarquistas

Es probable que otra anarquista sea enviada a prisión por negarse a hablar de sus ideales y de sus amigos al “Gran Jurado federal” de Seattle.
