After holding out for more than 5 months since the Court Order the Can Piella ‘Land and Liberty’ occupation was evicted yesterday, on the 2nd anniversary of the start if the 15M ‘Take The Streets’ uprising. The squat had become a symbol of anarchist type collective action, permaculture, and resistance to rampant capitalist speculation, with countless mobilisations and widespread public support, even by local councils.
On May 15th 2011, millions of people started a process of social change, giving a clear and unmistakable signal that we are not merchandise in the hands of politicians and bankers, we have been publicly and massively expressing that the representative democracy is dying. This is the weekly newsletter that will inform you about the activities of 15M movement in Barcelona, Catalonia and occasionally the main events in Spain. This week’s issue provides blue prints for how to realise a systemic change:

And which we paid for with our work and our taxes, because power has given us nothing. Continue reading “Because there’s no other solution .. recipe for Social Revolution!”
