STOP al Fracking Gas que Gas Natural Fenosa porta a l’Estat Espanyol

Gas Natural Fenosa (GNF) té contracte per rebre centenars de carregaments del Gas LNG, gairebé tot del fracking que està arrasant EUA, causant innombrables càncers, aqüífers enverinats i un núvol de metà visible de l’espai que agreuja la crisi del clima mundial.

Els contractes de GNF estan signats per 20 anys començant a l’agost / setembre. del 2017. Però hem esbrinat que alguns carregaments arribaran abans com en període de proves. La destinació queda en secret però serà probablement al port de Barcelona que té molt espai d’emmagatzematge  (o qualsevol de les 7 plantes de regasificació).

El gas per a Gas Natural ( principalment del fracking) arriba a Sabine Pass a través de la Cheniere Trail Pipeline que va a través dels pantans no protegits i fortament contaminades amb materials tòxics des de les plataformes petrolíferes no controlats i la runa de l’huracà Rita.

GNF ha reservat  ja almenys 4 vaixells tipus ‘LNG Knutsen’ per fer el negoci. Un d’ells, el nou ‘la Mancha Knutsen’, acaba de sortir d’Algeciras (30 de març, 2017) rumb a Sabine Pass a Louisiana, on es recull el gas en forma de LNG per al contracte de Gas Natural.

Gas Natural Fenosa (GNF) tiene contrato para recibir centenares de cargamentos del Gas LNG, casi todo del Fracking que está arrasando EEUU, causando innumerables cánceres, acuíferos envenenados y una nube enorme y permanent de metano visible del espacio que agrava bastante la crisis del clima mundial.

Los contratos de GNF están  firmados para 20 años empezando en Agosto/Sept. del 2017. Pero hemos averiguado que algunos cargamentos llegarán antes como en periodo de pruebas. La destinación  queda en secreto pero será probablemente al puerto de Barcelona que tiene mucho espacio de almacenamiento (o a cualquier de las 7 plantas de regasificación).

Ante estos hechos, son fundados los temores para pensar que van a empezar ya con su negocio inmoral que promueve  los crímenes que están arrasando el clima y la biosfera mundial, envenenando el aire que respiramos.

Si es así que el metanero La Mancha Knutsen  va a recoger el primero cargamento de gas de fracking para GNF, llegará a España entre el día 10 y día 20 de Mayo, que nos deja tiempo para averiguar a qué puerto viene.

Activists dressed as animals invade Bell Pottinger to protest fracking

www.reclaimthepower.org.uk     Today 40 activists dressed as animals invaded PR firm Bell Pottinger in central London to expose their ties with fracking. Today’s activities closed the national ‘Break the Chain’ fortnight of action by Reclaim the Power [1].

The activists staged an animal-themed intervention of the Bell Pottinger offices, with zebras throwing leaves, monkeys spreading animal manure and a squid spraying ‘ink’ on the windows. The group said they were targeting the company due to their continual support of fracking since they helped clean up Cuadrilla’s reputation following an earthquake caused by them attempting to frack in 2011 in Blackpool [2]. Endesa, Iberdrola and Gas Natural for their air pollution, for the blockade of renewables and forthe soaring price of electricity, all with Government approval! We are tired of them polluting and us always paying, with our health and with our pockets!

Time to Act!

This morning we have faced up to the almighty Spanish power companies. We appeared at the offices of Endesa, Iberdrola and Gas Natural Fenosa in Madrid, Bilbao and Barcelona respectively, asking them to explain the pollution and its relation with high energy prices. We have done it to defend our environment and for all of us.

27,000 premature deaths in Spain due to pollution.. A report by Ecologistas en Acción reports that 45 million Spaniards are exposed to contaminated air…….

Cancelling  crucial methane control is a blatant crime against humanity and the planet perpetrated to feed the naked greed of US billionaire capitalists,. It is also an insult to the thousands of scientists and environmentalists and public who have dedicated years to getting this key step in climate control.

”Satellite data demonstrates fugitive emissions that are an order of magnitude greater during the extraction and storage phase than with non fracked natural gas, with  average losses, including distribution representing 6-8% of production. The figure of 6% makes shale gas two times worse than coal from a climate change perspective”.
