FairCoin is rising! linking integral Coops and Local Currencies

After almost 2 years, where all users of FairCoin, have been accustomed to an exchange rate of 0,05€ (20 Faircoin = 1 €), FairCoop’ assembly has decided to raise that to 0,0667 € (so now 15 Faircoin = 1 €).

This has been a consensus reached through an open, participatory process of discussion. Not the invisible hands of the market, neither the authoritarian control of a central bank. FairCoin has achieved for the first time the milestone of an open assembly process deciding its exchange rate. We are very happy about this achievement, which shows that there is a different way to self-organize the value of a currency.

So, everybody needs to take the new exchange rate into account when making transactions, using FairCoin, from now on. As you may easily understand, this shift will benefit the entire FairCoop ecosystem and reward all of us who support and cooperate towards a fair economic system.

Today, NATO has become the weaponized arm of defending the interests of Western capitalism throughout the world and not a factor of security for Europe as we were sold  in the context of Cold War.

We call on all the ungovernable in Europe and elsewhere to join the antimilitarist and anti-capitalist bloc from 5 pm at the Gare du Nord. The next day, at the NATO summit, a “blockage” to disrupt as much as possible the rendezvous of the great powers is also being organized by some associations.

To finance death and suffering, capitalist nations are leading at least two other wars on the rest of the world. A social war is waged within each frontier to make the poorest pay for both the whips that keep them in the rank of exploited but also the massacres of the populations and looting of resources of the countries they call under- developed, constituting a second devastating external economic war. Despite stark warnings from scientists, fossil fuel subsidies continue to grow: this year alone, it is estimated that dirty coal and energy corporations will receive a staggering $5.3 trillion from governments worldwide.

The worst predicted impacts of climate change are starting to happen — and much faster than climate scientists expected..The Sixth Mass Extinction Is Upon Us: Can Humans Survive?

To put this into perspective, the sum is more than the healthcare budget of all the countries in the world combined. It works out at $600 million per hour, $10 million per minute, and $200,000 per second. Just imagine what we could do with that kind of money.

We could eradicate poverty, invest in clean energy, boost health and education systems, start a food revolution, and create more jobs in these industries as a result. 2) Iodine pills
The government sent them to you, you threw them in the drawer with the old birthday cards and the Nokia chargers.. now’s the time to put them iodine-ey bad boys to use!
