TinTin’s riot class..Freedom Press

Tintin the responsible Rioter

Freedom Press is in the process of re-printing The Adventures of Tintin: Breaking Free that perennial anarchist classic.

It features our hero, a ordinary working class lad from the inner cities, at the centre of political demonstrations, wildcat strikes, street riots, and eventually a revolutionary uprising.

It graphically depicts scenes of social unrest, workers solidarity and people looting the local Tescos.

Resist army repression: Israeli/Egyptian/Syrian

Mass rallies in Egypt against Israeli killings of Egyptian soldiers.

Divide and rule..Sure thing the Generals on BOTH sides are secretly delighted.

Using nationalism as always to divide and control

Suddenly interest has switched from Mubarak’s grisly trial.

Dont forget…”Before and after Mubarak was ousted, Egypt’s military arrested, imprisoned, tortured, and disappeared thousands, a practice continuing to ruthlessly stay in power and prevent change.”

and …”Notably, Washington backs brutal junta rule, including violence against growing public opposition to prevent a “second revolution.” So does National Association for Change leader Mohamad ElBaradei, saying he regards the military as the main guarantor of Egypt’s “incipient democracy,” when, in fact, none exists, isn’t planned, and won’t be tolerated by junta generals, top Obama administration officials, or himself, based on his offensive comment and others earlier.

From around March to July 7, Al Jazeera reported little about Egyptian discontent, strikes, street protests and brutal security force crackdowns, including the mass July 1 street protests and a million or more coming out on July 8….”

Brasil mani’s em defesa da Amazônia

On sat 20th Aug a massive demo took place against the ongoing Amazon destruction for the Belo Monte dam. Also against the new Forest Law, now in the Senate, which ‘relaxes’ the already unenforced deforestation  code. Brazil had been a constructive leader in Climate talks, which came to nothing due to the greedy demands of the West.

17yr Facebooker arrested for ‘start rioting’ quip.

FIRST THEY CAME FOR THE FACEBOOK KIDS………….

Please post on your facebook/twitter/blogs/comments………all over Prisoner suport group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/143369622416604/

This is what he wrote.. “I think we should start rioting, it’s about time we stopped the authorities pushing us about and ruining this country.  “It’s about time we stood up for ourselves for once. So come on rioters – get some. LOL.”

This is an absolute attack on free speech. The 17 year old lives in a small village near Bury St.Edmunds.There is nothing specific in his facebook post to any area – it’s a general statement. He’s been given a curfew, youth rehabiitation order and god knows what else. He’d even deleted it so it ws only up for a short  time.

The weekend before last Nik Cohen posted in The Observer ‘Why are there no riots here’ – why aint he been done. Or a thousand pieces you could read in broadsheets giving opinions or on leftie blogs like this. Why pick on teenagers?

This prosecution is worse than the other one because it’s a general statement of opinion by no mean a specific incitement. If a kid in Syria had posted this he’d be hailed a hero. It’s now a crime here to say ‘I think we should start rioting’.

I think we need a lot of people who write and blog to stand up now and be counted on this one. Maybe some mass signed statement – maybe all put our names to what this kid has said and wait for the knock at the door. First they came for the 17 year old Facebookers…….

McDonalds behind Amazon slaughter

José and Maria:killed for defending Amazon.

The greedy corrupt Brazilian politicians are voting to give free rein to their fascist landlord colleagues  and the McDonalds backed Ranching industry to  destroy the Amazon Rainforest.

The politicians appeal to nationalist sentiment.. saying we have already destroyed our forests and they have every right.

But 79% of Brazilians are AGAINST the new laws going through.

foto. José and Maria. ‘They gunned them down and cut off their ears”

I blame McDonalds, leading the insane MEAT FRENZY of North American capitalism. A series of major reports including Greenpeace’s ‘Slaughtering The Amazon’ have shown the cheap beef industry to be behind the rapidly increasing destruction of  the billion year old Amazon rainforest, which may be the starting gun for catastrophic climate change and global destruction.

The news of the killing of José Ribeiro and his wife came on the same day the Brazilian congress debated a controvers

the root of Amazon slaughter is Meat Frenzy

ial set of new laws called “Forest Code” which, according to environmentalists, would be harmful to the Amazon, reducing the amount of land preserved from clear cutting.

In a video interview posted on YouTube last November, Ribeiro looks off camera and says to the interviewer: “I have received death threats by businessmen who work with loggers, who don’t want the forest standing.”

José Cláudio Ribeiro da Silva campaigned to stop logging and deforestation in the Amazon rainforest

After selling the hardwood and obliterating the ecosystems the land quickly degrades but can support low quality cattle for some years. The trade is fuelled by the billion dollar advertising budget of McDonalds Corporation, and others. With suitable chemical taste additives ever increasing quantities are being sold to already obese North Americans, duped into seeing it as a happy party treat or a virility symbol.

Blaming the fascistic landlord class of Brazil is correct, for their infinite crimes against nature and humanity.

But in the case of José and Maria, due to the driving force of the beef industry, we can trace the culprit straight back to Ronald McDonald!

Fukushima cancers ‘to go on forever’

“Radioactive elements get into the testicles and ovaries, and these cause genetic disease like diabetes, cystic fibrosis, and mental retardation,” she told Al Jazeera. “There are 2,600 of these diseases that get into our genes and are passed from generation to generation, forever.” Dr Helen Caldicott (Nobel winner)

radiation crisis 'only beginning'

Caldicott feels the lack of a stronger response to safeguard the health of people in areas where radiation is found is “reprehensible”.

“Millions of people need to be evacuated from those high radiation zones, especially the children.”

Dr Yanagisawa is concerned about what she calls “late onset disorders” from radiation exposure resulting from the Fukushima disaster, as well as increasing cases of infertility and miscarriages.

Incidence of cancer will undoubtedly increase,” she said. “In the case of children, thyroid cancer and leukemia can start to appear after several years. In the case of adults, the incidence of various types of cancer will increase over the course of several decades.”…..

..Junichi Sato, Greenpeace Japan Executive Director, said: “It is utterly outrageous to raise the exposure levels for children to twenty times the maximum limit for adults.” “The Japanese government cannot simply increase safety limits for the sake of political convenience or to give the impression of normality.”…

…When on August 2nd readings of 10,000 millisieverts (10 sieverts) of radioactivity per hour were detected at the plant, Japan’s science ministry said that level of dose is fatal to humans, and is enough radiation to kill a person within one to two weeks after the exposure.

10,000 millisieverts (mSv) is the equivalent of approximately 100,000 chest x-rays…..

“The situation at the Daiichi Nuclear facility in Fukushima has not yet been fully stabilised, and we can’t yet see an end in sight,” Yanagisawa said. “Because the nuclear material has not yet been encapsulated, radiation continues to stream into the environment.”
