Another march took place in the heart of the Susa valley on Saturday March 23, 2013, organised by the NoTAV people together with local authorities and other local bodies, which have been part of this struggle since the beginning.
Many people, perhaps as many as 40,000, took part in the day of protest. This has been the case for several years now – since the term “NoTAV” changed from meaning “protest against the new high-speed railways between Lyons and Turin” to “developing a new model of managing the common good”. Taking part were people of all ages and political affiliations (associations, groups, movements, organizations, activists and union organizers, producers, consumers, retirees), all representing that part of society which is concerned to safeguard the common good.

The PAH Anti Eviction Platform in the town of Salt has occupied a whole block of new empty flats owned by Sareb, the newly created ‘bad bank’ set up to hold ‘toxic assets’ from bankrupt creditors. The association will transfer them to families who have been left homeless. 400,000 people have been evicted in the Spanish State due to the banks crisis and evictions are running at over 500 a day. The PAH forced parliament to debate an anti eviction law with a 1 million petition, but the majority PP are against. The EU has declared Spanish law in which you have to keep paying a mortgage after being evicted to be illegal.
The squatted block is a toxic asset. It is also the only speck of life in failed blocks and empty buildings and real estate in the mountain town of Salt (Gironès County, Catalonia). The Platform of People Affected by Mortgages (PAH) on Friday took the block of brand new unused flats to distribute them free to families evicted . Radical Tunisian islamists represented by Imam Adel Almi call for death penalty by stones for young tunisian girl, who took a naked picture of herself and posted on Facebook to support FEMEN movement. 26th of February a Tunisian woman, Amina Tyler, sent an email to FEMEN with attached photo of herself in the style of FEMEN with written message on her body “Fuck your morals!”.
The picture was posted on fan pages of FEMEN. Then Amina has created a fan page FEMEN Tunisia to support the movement from her country. Today the information about death threats to Amina from islamists was spread by mass medias, the call for death penalty was made the by Tunisian political figure and leader of the Association of centrists reforms Adel Almi. After getting info about threats for Amina FEMEN activists tried to get in touch with the tunisian supporter by phone, but the phone is switched off.
