Attorney Claims USA Chills Rights of Environmentalists
By RYAN ABBOTT

WASHINGTON (CN) – An attorney whose client is serving 22 years for destroying private property claims the FBI denied her FOIA request, to cover up the government’s “Green Scare” program, meant to chill the speech rights of environmental activists.

New York City attorney Susan Tipograph sued the Department of Justice in Federal Court, seeking records on her client, imprisoned activist Marie Mason.

“The draconian sentencing of Marie Mason to nearly 22 years in federal prison has undoubtedly chilled the free speech practices of other animal rights and environmental activists,” Tipograph says in the complaint. Continue reading “Marie Mason: still jailed to boost Criminal Corporations”

Divestment fever spreads to Canada as students, doctors launch campaign against fossil-fuel holdings

Calls in the United States for universities to divest their fossil-fuel holdings are starting to spread into Canada, where students and doctors are beginning to speak out.

Students from across the country are taking part Wednesday in what’s being called Fossil Fools Day, described as the first national day of action for the Fossil Free Canada campaign, an initiative being led by the Canadian Youth Climate Coalition.

More than a dozen Canadian university campuses are planning marches and rallies in an effort to urge their university administrations to divest their endowments from fossil fuel and pipeline companies. Many already have active campaigns. Continue reading “Disvestment: Campaign to Boycott the Climate Criminal Fossil Fools!”

Bradley told the Truth.. ‘Let him go. Let him go now!’

Bradley Manning: Wales DEMANDS he comes home

Ask any Welsh man or woman about whistleblower Bradley Manning and most will simply say, they want him back.

Back home to Wales, where he spent his childhood; back to a country that – like he – is small in size but grand in its visions; renowned more for its poetry and bards than the wars or arrogance of the country where Manning now finds himself prosecuted merely for telling the truth.

Today…today is the 1000th day of Manning’s incarceration without trial. And on this most inauspicious day we offer an asymmetric take on his prosecution, to examine how it can be subverted – via its ‘Welsh dimension’.

And should you be poetic too you may hear a cry, carried high by the eagles of Myrddin from the misty eyries of Yr Wyddfa, to the song-filled valley of Afon Mawdach and on to the druidic Preseli hills: ‘Gadewch iddo fynd. Gadewch iddo fynd nawr!’*

Getting to the root of the problem in Madagascar

February 26th, 2013   by Daniel Reeds

When Daniel Reeds visited Madagascar he was struck by the beauty of its ecosystems and people, but also by the appalling poverty. However, he found inspiration from a pioneering charity that works with humans and wildlife, to ensure a sustainable future for both.

Madagascar is one of the world’s top biodiversity hotspots, with approximately 4% of the Earth’s plant and animal species living there – within just 0.4% of the planet’s surface. Many species have yet to be named or even discovered. However, it is also one of the most impoverished and least developed countries in the world, ranking 151st out of 187 in the UNDP 2011 Human Development Index.

Additionally, it’s one of the top three countries most vulnerable to the effects of climate change through factors including unsustainable agricultural practices. Continue reading “Making Magical Moringa sprout in Madagascar”

In Britain there are no human beings?

angryIn Britain there are no human beings or citizens, no..
..there are only live money beings.

The population allows this to happen. They allow the state to tax them very hard and no real protest happens. They seem to like it, or they are just under the spell of a very organized propaganda. After all it is for the common good.

Let’s all in Britain scream in one united voice that we want a very expensive private educational system perpetuating social walls. Here is another idea: why not, instead of letting older generations freeze in the winter, the banker boy just shoots them all. It would be more dignified. He could even privatize this and get some tax out of it.

Britain is heading towards an intellectual black hole.

In Britain there is no social critique or artist that inflames the masses.

There is no one to sing “No future.” Continue reading “In Britain there are no human beings?”
