High Speed Train: 3 more jailed in Italy Struggle

Solidarity with the NO TAV activists arrested in Italy

Last 11th of July registered the houses and arrested three people who are in the NO TAV fight in Italy. Two were arrested in Milan and another one in Lecce.

The TAV is an European project which consist on the creation of a high speed line from Lisbon to Kiev. It is in 1995 when the people from Val di Susa (Italy) start an important fight in opposition to its construction. In 2008, the fight is radicalised due to the militarization of the valley and the extension of the movement among other cities in Italy. In the 9th of December 2013, Chiara, Claudio and Niccollò are imprisioned in Turin and Mattia in Milan, accusing them of participating in an action against the construction of the TAV in the 13th May 2013 night. These four people are arrested under high security as they are considered terrorist.

In Praise of Rebel Women..by a contrite macho man

From my male viewpoint these new rebel women ( if you can manage to tie up the sexist donkey inside you) make the best possible partners,
For sexist men, who are maybe 96 percent of the male population, women with a rough, tough, determined character bother us. We designate disparaging words: harpies, witches, bitches, whores, dykes, tomboys, etc etc..
Actually, we are just afraid of them, and we can’t wait to make them pay dearly for their challenge to male power that until recently was wielded unchallenged. Incorrigible sexists with macho culture as an ancestral heritage are instinctively bothered when these women defend themselves instead of submitting to their will. (Can Vies was a local self-run Occupied Social Center, going for 17 yrs in an ex union building, with wide neighbourhood support. The Coumcil ordered an eviction for a ‘green space’ to crush an organisation outside its idea of a sanitised, top down, rich only, capitalist paradise. They were warned many times that evicting Can Vies would be the start of urbaan warfare, with 70% youth unemployment. Yet the arrogant idiots went ahead and lit that fuse…..)
