Why the Eurostrike?

..Due to their history of dictators the 1% in South Europe have been able to coerce, swindle, supertax, deprive and overwork us, while stashing billions of our money in tax havens…

The ruling Conservative and liberal parties, both in Spain and in most European Union countries, including the Eurozone, are implementing policies that result in: 1) labour reforms that reduce wages and increase unemployment, 2) the shrinking of the labour force, 3) reduction of social protection, 4) social spending cuts, 5) the privatization of public services and the welfare state, 6 ) the reduction of labour and social rights; 7) cuts to, and privatization  of state pensions, and 8) the weakening of collective bargaining and unions. Woman suicides before debt eviction. Demos..

Another capitalist murder : A woman commits suicide in Barakaldo when they were coming to evict her home .

A 53 year old woman has died in Barakaldo after throwing herself out the window when a judicial commission would proceed to eviction her home, according to Europa Press.

Apparently, she was perched on a chair and was threw herself into space from the fourth floor of the building and died on the spot.

The government spokesman Lakua, Idoia Mendia, has reported that the deceased is Amaia Egaña, wife of PSE Barakaldo, ex counsellor Jose Manuel Asensio, who has been treated at the scene by psychologists. The victim lived at the home with her husband and son, 21 years old.

Protest Demonstrations

‘Stop Evictions’ of Biscay have called a concentration at 21.00 at night outside the home.. In Donostia, the protest will take place at 19.00 in the Boulevard.

Barcelona: proletarian shopping spree

A group of ‘outraged’ expropriates food at a supermarket in Barcelona to distribute to needy
They fill a basket with food staples to give to the needy, as explained.

A group of about twenty ‘outraged’ has assaulted this morning a Mercadona supermarket in Cubelles (Barcelona) to take food and basic necessities, they said, pass out to people in need in the population.
As reported by one of the responsible for the supermarket, about twenty people have gone about 10.45 am to the hypermarket, next to the thermal Cubelles, a town south of Barcelona, and have filled a cart for various products.

Barcelona. 20 groups occupy Flor de Maig social center.. video

Poblenou neighborhood, Barcelona
This action is a response to the unilateral closure by BARCELONA CITY COUNCIL  of the Flor De maig (May Flower) center.

This afternoon, amid a festive atmosphere and protest, five hundred residents Poblenou opened new historical workers social center “La Flor de Mayo”, evicted by the City Council last May, recoverting the last historic building of the cooperative movement that still had  social and cultural use in the district.

Standoff at Bankia

Dear people,….  After Bankia’s refusal to negotiate, the campers took action. At one o’ clock in the afternoon they occupied the Bankia franchise in Alcalà 1, at the corner of Puerta del Sol.

Police went in after them and sealed off the entrance against sympathisers and press who assembled outside.
