Hello from Barcelona, This is the (almost) weekly newsletter that will inform you about some activities of 15M movement in Barcelona, Catalonia and occasionally the main events in Spain.
Freedom NOW for the Black Flag ”Facebook Terrorists”
The 5 anarchists arrested Wed 15th have been imprisoned without bail. They appeared in Madrid court on ‘promoting terrorism’ and other charges, that is, just saying things in favour of ETA separatists on their Facebook identities pages. According to the police on Facebook they are ”Kete Follen, Pakete Bomba, Cadenas Libertarias, Eskupe Metralla and Indio Apache Barcelona”.
Police photo of ”terrorist material” seized form Kolectivo Bandera Negra
Of these we only found Eskupe Metralla still up, this page seems like 1000’s of other radical young anarchists, supporting animal rights, prisoners, punk bands, occupy, anti-fascist action etc… Perhaps thism is another police ‘mistake’. We saw no threats to politicians or royals in his/her 1370 great photos, some do advocate violence, but were put on her/his wall by others, so the crime would be ‘not deleting a criminal photo from your Facebook timeline’… Eskupe has not posted since Wednesday when the arrests took place. .Supporting terrorism? On the arrest of anarchists in Sabadell and media terrorism,
judicial and police by Anarchists 16 May 2013
From early yesterday morning we’re all longing to know who the detainees are. Who has been dragged off to Madrid in chains to face the High Terrorist Courts? In fact we have no knowledge of who they are or what exactly they are accused of. According to the press are “members” of the anarchist group Black Flag (Bandera Negra), which we had no knowledge of its existence and of which we only found now has a Facebook page.
The truth is that the arrests only serve to realize a situation that many saw coming. In the last few weeks have been going out sporadically in virtual press articles (Cadena Ser, Europa Press, etc.) on anarchists, making a salad of issues that do not relate to reality, but they did serve to create a situation conducive to a coup like this . And there are many colleagues who have spoken through articles about it in blogs, pages and publications. Continue reading “Bandera Negra (Black Flag) statements on anarchist Arrests”

After holding out for more than 5 months since the Court Order the Can Piella ‘Land and Liberty’ occupation was evicted yesterday, on the 2nd anniversary of the start if the 15M ‘Take The Streets’ uprising. The squat had become a symbol of anarchist type collective action, permaculture, and resistance to rampant capitalist speculation, with countless mobilisations and widespread public support, even by local councils.

Not only to commemorate his birthday, but to denounce the problems that the May 15, 2011 led to the so-called ‘indignados’ camps in dozens of Spanish cities are still present today.
