Today April 23 is the 7th anniversary that went far from home, resisting a “national” order of detention for the action of denunciation and expropriation of the unjust and stingy banking system, which I made public in 2008, and for which still calls for 8 years in prison, although the banks reported to the state coffers 120000 times more than what I had to do to them and no prosecutor’s office has asked for criminal charges for that. Enric Duran, 5 years as an underground Activist! .. From Robbing Hood to Faircoin

Enric Duran Giralt (born 23 April 1976, in Vilanova i la Geltrú) also known as Robin Banks or the Robin Hood of the Banks is a Catalan anticapitalist activist[1] and a founding member of the Catalan Integral Cooperative (CIC – Cooperativa Integral Catalana) and Faircoop.[2][3][4][5][6]On September 17, 2008, he publicly announced that he had ‘robbed’ dozens of Spanish banks of nearly half a million euros as part of a political action to denounce what he termed the predatory capitalist system.

From 2006 to 2008, Duran took out 68 commercial and personal loans from a total of 39 banks with no guarantees or property as collateral. He had no intention of repaying the debts, and used the money to finance various anti-capitalist movements.[7]In 2008, Duran released both an online article entitled “I have “robbed” 492,000 euros from those who rob us the most, in order to denounce them and build alternatives for society” (translated), and an online video, each explaining what he had done and that he had left the country to view the reaction and consider his next move.

This was also published in the free magazine Crisis, in Catalan, of which 200,000 copies were printed and distributed by volunteers throughout Catalonia. A second newspaper, We can! Live Without Capitalism was distributed on March 17, 2009, and a third, We want! on September 17, 2009.[8][9]

Today, five years ago, Enric made it clear that he did not accept the authority of the “justice” of the System and when it was required by him, his response was not to appear at the Provincial Court of Barcelona. On February 12, 2013, many companies were attentive to the reaction of the corrupt states of the state, the bank, and the judiciary and police. ‘Robin Hood’ is still on run for Robbing Banks

to support Social Revolution.

His name is Enric Duran , but is known as ‘Robin Bank ‘ or ‘ Robin Hood of the Banks ‘ . This Catalan activist, 38 years old, came to illegally obtain half a million euros in bank loans which he then then divided among projects and anti-capitalist movements .

He was charged with several offenses and failed to appear at his trial. He had requested loans from banks with no intention of returning and distributed the cash to a whole range of alternative projects, integral cooperatives, occupied social centers and revolutionary anarchists. . In all, he performed 68 operations in 39 different entities. Robin Hood: anarchist on the Run.. update

     Update. 15th Feb ’13. Enric Duran, the ‘anarchist Robin Hood’ is now on the run, after the Spanish State declared him an outlaw and ordered his immediate ‘Search and Capture’. Enric is charged with ‘stealing’ 492,000 euros which he borrowed from gullible banks and donated to revolutionary and social causes.
LATEST UPDATE. despite the news in this and many other papers it has emerged that the arrest warrant was never officially sent and the trial remains blocked! Great News for Enric!

Enric refused to attend his trial on Tuesday after all his witnesses had been banned by the judge  (even some bank managers who were to testify for him), and because the trial was brought forward by surprise.
     He had planned to use the trial to expose and reject the banks and capitalist system:   ‘While banks’ and institutions’ credibility is almost zero, hundreds of senior politicians and bankers are being impeached and almost all of them getting away with everything. Spain’s supermarket expropriations spread

Supermarket expropriations have extended to other parts of Spain, following the example of ‘Robin Hood’ mayor José Manuel Sánchez Gordillo in Andalusia.  A store of the global  supermarket chain Carrefour in the town of Merida in the western region of Extremadura was hit Friday by 50 members of the Platform for Basic Income in Extremadura. The regional leader of the radical United Left coalition Pedro Escobar backed what he described as a ‘symbolic’ action  that would ‘draw attention to, and provoke reflection about the extreme situation that many families are in. ‘ Escobar observed that some families were in such dire straits that they were actually going hungry.
